finding a roommate

Hopefully I’ll be finding a job soon. had an interview last week and one this week. 1st real job after college. wanna move into an apt with 2 other people to keep costs down. havent considered non-apt or more than 3 people. what’s a good way. too bad on the online sites they don’t do background checks.

in that case the mod will move it soon. well im near baltimore but will probably work in baltimore/dc area so i havent narrowed down an area where ill move to and wont be right when i get the job most likely. if i get the one i just interviewed for it will be about an hour commute in regular traffic. rush hour maybe hour and a half

there r so many sites for roomates .. search google.. like these

If u want desi .. try university organizations around area of search

thanks for the site. as i mentioned they dont do background checks but im not sure if theres a better way to find one perhaps through a community organization. nah desi no desi fine. guess male though i’d have no problems with a female but my parents might raise eyebrows. just an honest decent guy or guys rather.

Go to Hindian sites to find Hindian roomies

Vivek

try the desi organizations at local universities or community groups, thery would know of ppl, new grads getting apartments, others like yourself who have moved into an area and are looking for roomies.

This approach has worked for several people I know.

other thing u can do is get a short term lease, and while u are there look for a room mate in that time period.

sublet.com requires a fee to get access.

try craigslist.org

they have lots of listings everyday...

good luck

thanks for the help all
