Some comments about me: I've been working for the last 8 years (but don't have any savings) Always thought that its going to be arranged marriage so never really approached anyone myself, rather, said no to anyone who did. Parents haven't been able to find what's generally referred to as suitable match - though there isn't a huge list. According to their definition someone from sunni and punjabi background with an equivalent education, a middle class family and a job would do. I'd prefer someone in the same age bracket 35- 40 (which according to this forum isn't possible), preferably never married but if divorcee/widower, not with kids. At this age, I assume, the person will be financially stable. I won't mind contributing to the household earnings but want some one financially independent.
