No one wants to get old and it’s not something we like to think about.
But lately, this is something that’s been really worrying me. I really don’t want to be a burden on my children later on in life and really want to start saving some money to keep on the side for later but the investment options out there are huge! shares, ISA’s, pensions, securities etc. It’s all so baffling!?!?!
I know most women would yawn when it comes to this stuff but it is really REALLY something that we should all be thinking about.
So now, I’ve asked for a whole load of information from online stockbrokers but want to ask you guys whether you have started thinking about this and how have you started thinking for the future?
Re: Financial Prudence - Have you planned for the future?
I think you opened the thread in the wrong forum.
But yes I've thought about it-
two things
a) retirement account & maybe later look into an annuity or something
b) our house, when you're old you're kids have moved out you can always sell for a small place and get yourself some investment cash (most investment professionals would lynch me for this idea)
Another option maybe a life insurance that has something built in for people who live past a certain age. I'm not very well versed on this but I know its out there.
