Financial Mathematics at Wilfrid Laurier

I’ll be starting uni next year but I have to choose in a couple of months, so I’ve been looking around. Financial Math is offered as a rare undergrad (two flavours, BA and BSc) at Wilfrid Laurier Uni in Waterloo, Ontario. I was wondering if anyone knew somebody in this field or who had studied for this and if they could tell me the kind of potential in such a field.

This program is usually offered as a masters (such as at Waterloo), is it worth taking it as an undergrad? I know I can take a masters past that, but what if I have to get into the field immediately, what are my prospects then? What kind of salary can be expected, how is the job outlook and how recognized is it? Are there co-op opportunities in this field? How does this program compare to the BBA program also available at WLU, especially if I take the administrative option for FM? What are the job prospects of the BBA program (just as an aside  )?

Umar bhai, you teach at WLU, right? If you know anything about the program, please share your info.

I’ve been reading their webpage and googling it, but I’m looking for some experience with this field and/or program. I understand it’s relatively new and small (only 15 people in each stream - BA and BSc) which is attractive to me since it means that it is easier to get help from the faculty and there is more interpersonal contact with profs. but at the same time, it could mean that no one knows about the program and that puts a big question mark on the credibility of the program.

Fank you very much to anyone who answers this poor soul, y’all. Respect and big up yourselfs.
