Financial Aid/Scholarships in Canada

I want to finish my undergrad in Canada. Trying to transfer to the third year in British Columbia’s universities. However, I am in desperate need of financial aid to be able to study there. Can you guys help me out? Are there any local institutions supporting students to study abroad? And what is the financial aid scene like in Canada.

Re: Financial Aid/Scholarships in Canada

if u are a citizen/landed immigrant/ pr holder they give you loan (it's government loan with 0%interest while you are studying in ontario--BC should have sth similar). For itnernational students i dont know wat options you have availabe. But i know for int'l students in ontario since they don't qualify for gov't loan (it's called OSAP in ontario) what they do is they apply for citizenship or PR card knowing they will be rejected. Because the policy at most institutions in ontario (i think) is if you have applied for citizenship you will pay fee that of a local students. but continuously applying for citizenship adn being rejected could affect you negatively in the long run when you do seriously apply for citizenship.

i'm no aware if there's much help availabe for int'l students except for 1 "tarika above" which i think is valid in ontario only.

Re: Financial Aid/Scholarships in Canada

**not that fast...even if u r a citizen or permanent resident...u have to have 12 months of residency in that province...its a requirement

international students will not be allowed to get a visa until they have sufficient funds available to them. for foreign students there isn't anything available at undergrad level as far as ai know. u are NOT even allowed to work.

at post grad level, all students receive scholarships.

i wud like to correct u..i think a law was passed jsut recently (possibly 2 years ago) n int'l students can work now..even at undergrad level..i cud b wrong though but i know some int'l students at undergrad level who are employed..

n i dont think all post grad students receive scholarship..i'm unaware of taht..cud b true.

is this apply to non-citizens/one without PR also ?

Would you please highlight basic requirements for getting admissions at Postgraduate level ,
Like grade in undergrad degree , English Proficiency , GRE etc.
Thanks
