What I have seen usually in households is one person is the spender and the other one keeps him/her in check. In my parents my dad is the one keeping finances in check and my sister who recently got married is the one who makes sure they are saving something. How does it work in your families?

lol that's the same way with my parents...........with me n my hubby we both spend but i'm the one who usually makes sure that we are putting some money into savings on every pay

Both my parents are huge on savings.
I don't know how things will work with SO and I, but we're pretty conscious spenders too.

In my family we are all good with money and don't over spend. Both my parents know the importance of saving but also spending when the need be.
