Which boutique was this? Iv also ordered my lengha from Birmingham and with my walima outfit iv changed the colours completely, thats why im a little bit worried cos the colours may clash! I live abt 3 hours away from Bham so I cant go down but will harrass them on the phone.
DB - It was ordered from a shop in the UK and not a website..
The only advantage of telling your date is that atleast your fitting will be right as u may lose/add weight within them months... If u know a really good tailor then I suppose u cud get it adjusted urself.. but in the UK i wudnt risk that!
Thankyou SanaZaidi630 and Akh12 for the sympathy lol I am so nervous about receiving my lenga as I am just having a small nikah ceremony with close family and relatives/friends and a huge 1day reception the day after so my whole wedding depends on this outfit!!!!
I wish I had more than 3 weeks as I have way too much left to do for the wedding and cannot concentrate on anything else...Im working in 2jobs and 3rd job i've taken leave from and also studying at the same time and its difficult but am looking forward to time off for the wedding and honeymoon when I will finally be able to relax properly!!
Akh12 my lenga is from Chunri boutique...if it wasnt from there I would have bought it from khushboos as that was the only other place where I could see myself buying my wedding outfit...now lets see how they get on in the next few days with my lenga-am due another update on the 27th....

I went everywer and chunri was wher i fell in love with both my lenghas.. their variety is so good. I pray that u get ur lengha on time, insha'Allah, really feel for u. Please post pics, id love to see!
Is ur wedding in 3 weeks time? u must be proper nervous and how are u managing 2 jobs????? Im doin 1 fulltime job which im really struggling to manage, i feel lost! Im gonna leave early august, cant wait. Getting married and managin a job is hard, for me anyway cos im not used to working!lol
Lol i cant belive uv ordered both your lengas frm chunri too...small world eh!!yes its the shop on alum rock rd in birmingham!! i'd like to know which lengas you picked...all there stuffs beautiful!
unfortunately the sample i chose in the shop-well they sold that off to a last min bride who was desperate for it a few weeks after i had placed my order so they haven even got the original lenga to compare it with anymore!!
luckily i secretly took photos in the fitting rooms when i was trying it on and that really helped as i was able to email the pictures for the tailors in india for them to try and match my new lenga they are currently working on since they have sold the original sample :-(
mine was originally in a purple silk with royal blue and red undertones with emerald green and gold brocade pattern and covered in swarovski all over(dupatta was royal blue and border at the bottom was red to bring out the tones in the fabric) it was so gorgeous never seen a lenga like it-even on GS!!

Have booked annual leave from all my jobs and studies in a weeks time and will go back inshallah sometime in July..so its all gud!!

Aww right... Im not sure if uv seen it buts theres one on display creamish.gold.red with lots of swarvoski work on it.. soon as I walked in i seen it on display and wanted it! Other one was packed and i got it in diff colours.. grey.pink and sea green.. unusual combo, cant wait to see em both! Apparantly il get end of july, wedding is end of sept.. Insha'Allah. Ur lengha sounds very pretty, hope it turns out xactly how u want it :)

I know I emailed on here about 6mths with the story of my wedding lenga order an how it nearly turned into a disaster...Allahamdulillah it all went perfectly well and my lenga came out to be gorgeous and even better than i had anticipated! :)

my first order has been a total disaster. it was ordered in august, was due in september, arrived at the end of october... although at one stage it was looking like it was never going to arrive. then when it did it was large enough to fit in me and a couple of friends.
anyway, i didnt panic, i took it in to the best seamstress that exists on the planet and she's been re-doing it. so far have spent double its cost having it redone... final fitting next week.... (She told me she had another client who ordered a lehenga in person from India which cost over a thousand USD and when it arrived the top was tiny and the bottom enormous. ive seen pictures of what the seamstress had to do to save this poor bride)
and in the meantime I ordered a 2nd outfit (just in case) that has yet to arrive!! yes its late but a couple of weeks is not the end of the world, right? I just hope it doesnt need an extreme make-over too.
So I think I can feel for you... and if it has worked out for the best for you, there's hope for us other poor online victims

.m gettin married in feb finally ordered my both wedding dresses as well as most ov my dresses 4om kuki concepts.i saw many designers b4 but cudnt find anything lyk "pahli nazer main dil ko lagny vali :( " i was so confused even after placing de order, cudnt sleep even after that, how thy gona look lyk??? will thy b better than wt i wore b4???etc etc :( actually i had my engagement dress 4om sonia azhar(skin lahnga) n dat was out class (as most ov u may kno that her work is good but wt she delivers is poor in quality :S still that looked osum on me as evrybdy sed )nywayz n had my nikah dress 4om kuki dat was a gown in gry again was vry unique....i hop ab valy b achy e aain :(....in de end i hav left evrythin on ALLAH n hopin fo da best
