Finally Fillmore

About a fornight, I got an oppurtunity visiting Fillmore with my crew on an official visit, my quest remained to advent and explore the city beside Los Padres National Forest as well, capturing natural scenes and landscapes of Fillmore.
As per requested, by someone in guphup, I took my camera to present some glimpses from my visit.
Sorry for the delay, busy schedule and recomposing of Hi Def pictures indulged softwares with ample time, to meet upload criteria of 110Kb.
So here you may come accross low resolution additionally some of panchromatic pictures were shooted by me, at an accelerated speed of 85-90 Mph, while we drove back.
Started chilly 5am in morning, later day turned up with scortching sunlight, warm climate, reminded me memories from Interior Sindh and Punjab.

**The last, best small town in Southern California.**

Location: 23 miles northeast of Ventura.

Fillmore has a rich heritage, starting in the late 1800s with the arrival of the railroad and the development of the surrounding river valley into one of the most productive citrus producing areas of the world.

Fillmore boasts a tourist excursion train, acres of lush citrus groves and a quaint downtown, all great attractions for visitors. But what really sets the town apart is its warm climate

Fillmore also is a gateway to the Los Padres National Forest, offering incredible mountain vistas and hiking year round.

Finally Fillmore continues…

Finally Fillmore

Toppled by the 1994 Northridge earthquake and then rebuilt, its downtown retains old-time California charm with the crispness of modern amenities.
Downtown Fillmore’s business district is a 6 block area depicting the architecture of the 30s and 40s. Fillmore has recently built a Neo Classical City Hall that sits behind the Central Park Plaza.
Fillmore continues to celebrate this heritage with its historic downtown, steam train rides, winery and a number of family-oriented, old-fashioned festivals.

Fillmore is all about a safe, clean, small town that brings to mind the virtues of the past. Here you will find friendly people...a slower pace of life...clear, blue skies...and pristine hillsides covered with acres and acres of verdant citrus groves.

This hill remained our target, where we spend most of our work time.

Sunset Magazine named Fillmore one of "The West’s Best Cities", an honor given to only 24 communities in the western U.S.

The look and feel of Fillmore is vintage early Southern California, and for this reason the City has been featured in many Hollywood movies and features. Fillmore is located in the heart of "Heritage Valley" in Ventura County, one of the safest areas in the nation.

Hope you all enjoy Fillmore landscapes, will get back next week with something new.
