As you all fighting members know the final is b/w India and Srilanka..but
Before I start the preview let me tell u the reason for both these sides( aik number ke bore or bekaar) to be in final…i know it’s harder than riddle of sphinx…but Jeerablade will try to shed some moombatee kee light
Reason for Srilanka to be in final: well 1) home ground, 2) Jaysuria kee maa ke duwa, and number three Murli ke mazloom Shakal(Allah Maaf karey when ever he bowl—aisa lagta hai murli ko Bhoot nazar aa gaya hai—his bulging eyes and wonderfully symmetric teeth),
Reason for India in final: 1) Tukka/fluke, 2) Batting conditions, and Great team spirit…Huh!!..(whenever I try to appreciate India dil main Mirza Ghalib kee tarhan dard honay lagta hai)…anyway
here is the preview
The match will be high scoring ..both team bowlers esp Zaheer Khan and Vass will suffer great beating…by Jaysuria and Tandulker respectively.
Tandulkar will play good, Match will be extremely boring,
….the match will be won by Srilanka..(if India win..well than I will jump from ~ 100ft—w/bungee rope.. at sixflags!)

I think its going to be preety high scoring.
The Indian batsman are playing their best crickets of their lives but I think they will face the ultimate task and that is facing Murali.
Specially the pitch that is helping spinners will be fun to watch but there are couple players in the team who are good against spinners like Ganguly, I still remember how he blasted the Srilankan spinners in Taunton in WC 99.
Both Indian and Srilankan fast bowlers won’t be trouble and they recall of Srinath won’t do much against Jayasuriya, who is excellent in playing fast bowlers.
Kumble has yet to prove himself to be effective in this tournament and Harbajhan has been preety inconsistent. and all the side bowlers like sehwag, Tendulkur, Ganguly, deSilva, Jayasiriya won’t be that effective.
Its really hard but I’m going to go with Srilanka just because they are stronger in the bowling dept.
He's a great bowler compared to Nehra and Zaheer but to Jayasuriya they all look the same. If the guy has the ability to score centuries against the likes of Akhtar, Wasim, Waqar than Indian fast bowlers are dead meat.
Jaysurya great batsman but IF I COULD ONLY ONCE IN A LIFE GET A CHANCE TO ASK HIM IF HE DID NICK THE BALL AGAINST PAK IN THE FIRST MATCH AND IF HE SAYS YES I WILL SLAP HIS FACE RIGHT THERE.
Jera you are right about Zaheer and Vaas getting thrashed but I think Vaas might be able to control since he had the advantage of playing at home.
I think indian batsmen will fail in the final reason, SL has varity of spin bowlers and it will be hard to score on a pitch like the one AUS vs SL player the 2nd semi. If the indian batsmen start thrashing I am sure Jaysurya will come up with something to stop the indians same like what he did to the Aussies and if for some reason Jaysurya loses this match I am SL public will be after him.

well some of your reasons are spot on...
yeah i think sri lanka will win cause of pitches suited to them. no doubt india has a strong chance too but considering the ease with which sri lanka has beatan strong opponents like Aus and Pk, they are favorites

That was a definite nick. I don't cry about bad decisions from the umpires but if Jayasuriya would have been given out earlier on, Pakistan would be in the finals or atleast playing Australians in the semi finals. That was a definite nick.
Saby you are right…the whole concept of ICC trophy is flawed…i mean the way it is played..and looking at it previous winners…i think this trophy is for teams like Newzealand India…We Pak, Aus and SA go for big kill..i.e “World cup”
P.S: I have no regrets about Pak bailing out so early from ICC trophy..we were in no shape to face Aus and SA…Pak is going through temp bad phase..
but i am sure we will be back to our best before WC.. we always do (just like last time)

It is everyones mission to win as many tournaments one can.
That's like saying Morocco Cup, Nairobi Tournament weren't important either.
Every tournament is important with the shortage of cricket playing nations in the world, these tri-nation tournaments are very important in boosting up the teams spirit. Why do we play cricket? To win! :)
Credit must be given to every player, for their shear talent. Without them, we wouldn't be watching cricket games.
Just a simple question,
How does it become to be a cricket giant? (I'm not talking about historically, but presently, 1-2 yrs)
I think Pakistan can regroup their team, by the South African series, and will have a huge advantage going into the World Cup, having played just month before at South Africa. (I still can't believe the World Cup is arriving so soon).
Final game will have my money on Sri Lanka, but a very close encounter will occur.
