Final ‪#‎Hajj‬ Reflection: Never say bye to Allah

This morning as we finished our Tawaf before Fajr, my wife really wanted to stay and pray in the Masjid one last time before we left. Little did we know that we would pray Janaza on over 100 people and then see their beautiful faces as they were carried out from the Safaa gate. It was a stark reminder that all of us are headed to back to our ultimate meeting with Allah. As we head home now, I can’t help but think of the deep meaning of the “farewell” Tawaf. We leave the holy sanctuary, but we never leave Allah. We bid farewell to the Ka’aba, not the Lord of the Ka’aba. You see, the blessing of our religion is that you can call upon Allah no matter where you are, and no matter what state you are in.

You don’t have to go to Makkah to talk to Him. You just look up, raise your hands, force your heart to be attentive, and start talking. You don’t have to go to Madinah to send your peace and blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him). Just say it where you are and it will reach him.

May Allah join us with the Prophet (peace be upon him) under the throne of the Most Merciful on the Day of Judgment. Ameen
