filmi gundes

how do you all feel as pakistanis when in certain indian films they show that the villains are muslim.

do you feel offended in any way or not.

explain.

(please note: this is NOT an anti-indian or anti-indian film thread AT ALL. it is just a simple question so please no accusations)

Re: filmi gundes

I dont watch Bolly films... so no comments!

why - muslims can't be gundes or what?

u don't have to go all the way to indian movies - there are real life muslim gundas & budmashs everywhere in Pakistan, plenty of them and I am ok with them, perfectly fine.

Re: filmi gundes

if gundi is a good looking sexy one with hijab on then i’ll watch the movie again. heck i’ll even pay to watch it in a cinema [multiple times…our new generation loves to do that as if its a FERZ bestowed on them by the almighty Allah himself]. muslims need all the good publicity these days and thanx to crappywood its helping muslims a lot. :halo:

Re: filmi gundes

:ASA:

Re: filmi gundes

:omg: @ the mr and mrs above.

Actually, Indian muslim bollywood gundas are very sweet

Re: filmi gundes

I dnt get offended at all...Bollywood has more non-Muslim ghundas than Muslim so Im okay!

Re: filmi gundes

A movie called LOC really pissed me off. Anyone seen it? I thought it very offensive. :snooty:

Are you talking about movies like Company? The main characters were Muslim right?

straight - i didn't get to watch LOC. why what was in it that you pissed you off so.

teen - you still remember company had muslim bad guys. you must have liked the movie a lot. i remember the movie. i liked it too but i don't remember in that much detail

Re: filmi gundes

^ It's about war between Pakistan and India. They had lame/offensive jokes about Pakistan and Pakistanis. I didn't like that at all. First time I saw them being so obviously biased and blunt about it.

If i know a film is about Pakistan and India i tend not to watch it. I mean i still remember the lecture i got from my parents after watching a film with sharuk khan and pretiy zinta in it (Veer-Zera). Then after watching 20 min of Fanaa i was like yuck. I will stick to the predictable romances with the good feeling. No i don't mind films with muslim bad guys i just don't like it when it has a dissproportionate amount of anti-pakistan things included in.

Re: filmi gundes

well of o know that a movies has anything anti-Pakistan or some Muslim bad guy i don,t waste my time and money to watch it ..................movies like veer- zera makes me so angry .............

Re: filmi gundes

What else one expect from watching Indian movies?

Re: filmi gundes

oh ofcourse i get offended but than just try and ignore movies which you know would be anti pakistani/muslim and also who takes these movies seriously anywayz :D...lol! most of the time even their own people end up laughing at their stupid attempts like in gadar sunny single handly defeating the whole army...like YA RITE!!! And do u think people don't notice how they always have a muslim girl falling for a hindu guy and never a hindu guy/girl falling for a muslim girl/guy!?! Nobody has an answer to this...not even Mahesh bhatt or Imtiaz Ali. Why do you think stars like Salman and Akki have said time and again that they would never be part of such movies which propogade against Pakistan. Sane, sensible people have realised that being part of such movies would only get them few uneducated, pyscho fans and most sensible audience wouldnt like to be a part of such a movie.

Re: filmi gundes

Although Indian movies exadurate it but I know from my relatives in India that most of the "bhai" and "ghunday" in Mumbai are actually so called muslims. Having said that, this is also an easier way to sell the movie in hindu dominated society else in how many (indian and hollywood) movies you have seen criminals going to church, makings cross and are being portrayed as "christian" criminals?

Also can a guy be a ruthless killer, heroien supplier etc and can be a muslim at the same time is another debate.

Thats just an expression which you wrote in your post.

Even novels, movies, stories, poetry, ads, news presentation etc. can shape up people's minds.

Whatever masses see, they slowly start believing or get used to it so much that they don't take it serious enough.

Fighting single handedly may be considered not so realistic but other aspect of movies slowly do get ingrained in to the mind. Specially the younger and less mature crowd.

Many of the movies show someone from 'dushman country' doing courageous act and helps the army of other country and that is so Cooooool and greaaaaaaat thing to do.

Just betray your country and so many people for 'the right thing' and 'love'. Even give your soul and body to outsider.
Typical topics will be;

The woman who speaks out!

The man who broke all the walls of hatred!

Story of a courageous family living besides border of two countires!

etc. etc.

yes i noticed this theme in almost all indian war movies or indo vs. pak theme films but i haven't watched the last couple of ones because i stopped. it was getting annoying. sometimes they take this patriotism thing too far.

this theme you describe is getting repetitive and so lame. it's like stop it already we get the point. no need to go totally over.

Re: filmi gundes

well i dont watch that many indian movies, its repeated far from reality saga with mostly happy ending. useless.

but i do find it offensive all the gangster criminal 1. wear shalwar kameez, 2. they are muslims
3. The terrorists has to be muslims

but why this thread related to life and relationship?????

well they can shape up only to an extent where they have some realiability in them...for example had there been such movies far n few people wud have said okkkkk so this is what happens but when they overdo it people do realise that ok so perhaps its done only to gain attention n thats all...........
