hi guys. I have 11 computers in my network, all are connected in a LAN, sharing same internet. I want to do the following.
i want to install a fileserver. Like have one PC, where any computer can upload a file, and that file will be available to all PCs on the LAN. is there any free fileserver that will d o that?
Second, i want to allow all compputers to communicate internally, without going to the internet. Like internal email, or internal memo system. Is there a software that can do that? like free, or open source?

Windows Server OS ... is ur easiest solution to file share & trust relationship.
For mail purpose hmail is not bad (hmailserver.com)
Of course u need dedicated machine to do all these functions (running as SERVER).

Im installing hmailserver, and it asks for a domain. However, i don twant to use it with an internet domain. I just want it to be used for email between these 11 PCs, internally. Is that possible? Meaning, these PCs can mail each other even without internet.
if so, what domain name would i use?

You can use any fictitious domain name, you can put abcxyz.com .. or best would be if u your company name.local
microsoft.local
so instead of microsoft you can put ur company name there.
