FIL coming from Karachi to Chicago via Etihad Airlines....need help

Hi,

My FIL got his US visa last week, we bought ticket form Etihad airlines, we r looking for some one coming from Karachi to Chicago via same Airline so he will get some help and guidance during his travel.

So apparently he's coming for the first time?

Had you asked it before i'd have advised to let him come via PIA as it only stops in UK for checking, no change in flights.

I dont think it'll be difficult in Etihad either as Abu Dhabi is a very small airport and its easy to find your new gate esp if asked from someone.

But yes i wish if you get to know someone in the same flight whom you can trust and get help.

Please post the date of flight as well.

Thanks for reply, yeah he is coming for the first time and We bought the ticket but the date is adjustable according to the other person travels in the same airline.

He is an old man and he wants some assistance to go thru the procedure in Abu Dhabi and in rest of the flight.

Your FIL’s immigration will be at Abu Dhabi Airport.

**The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility at Terminal 3 in Abu Dhabi Airport is a purpose-built facility that allows U.S. bound passengers to undertake all immigration, customs and agriculture inspections in Abu Dhabi prior to departure.Abu Dhabi Airport is one of only a handful of airports outside North America that offer the CBP facility. Having cleared CBP, guests can check-through their baggage to their final destination in the United States. On reaching the U.S., guests will be treated as domestic arrivals, which allows for faster processing at their arrival airport.
Etihad Airways operates flights to three destinations in the U.S. - New York (EY101 only), Chicago (EY151) Washington (EY131) and Los Angeles ( EY171). Guests flying to above destinations in the U.S. will use the CBP facility at Abu Dhabi Airport.
Please note: This service is not available for the Etihad Airways flight number EY103 to New York (JFK).

@mahool I heard about Immigration being done at Abu dhabi for Etihad, is it the same for Emirates/Dubai as well or no?

I did not hear about Emirates… So far, US government only allowed Etihad. But this immigration thing will also open at other airports too.
