Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

Pakistanis fighting with Puerto Ricans on Pakistani Day Parade

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

I can't tell them apart..who won?

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

^^ Pakistanis are in the white shirts and Tank Tops. The Puerto Ricans are in the red and multi-colored shirts. The Pakistanis were initially winning, but when Police came in to break it up, the Puerto Ricans landed a few cheap shots.

So even fight.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

:smack: I saw one of the cops using pepper spray (i think..or some spray) :cb:

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

Lol aww how will the pick up their hats now?

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

Thanks. I am still a little thrown off: The guy in the red shirt at 0:08 is holding a Pakistani flag? Did he grab it from one of the other lads? Also, this had to be the gayest Pakistan Zindabad that I have heard in a while.

I was in town for a Puerto Rican Day parade (not to attend, God no) and saw a few fights breaking out along with some of the most trashiest dressed females that I have seen in a long time. I am not saying all Ricans are hoodrats, just the ones that showed up at that parade.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

^^ Honestly I am not sure. I read the comments on Youtube which said Pakistanis and Puerto Ricans were fighting. I just read more comments and it appears that it was two groups of Pakistanis fighting. One group was from the Bronx and the other was from Brooklyn.

So I think its most likely Pakistanis fighting each other.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

Great thanks for the follow-up. I was thinking the same thing.

I haven't been to the Paki Day parades lately but they usually attract a certain ghetto element.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

^^ Yeah most educated Pakistanis avoid these type of gatherings. I myself never associate with these thugged out Pakistanis. Here is the video of the aftermath of this fight.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

lol are u sure puerto rico is a country??...sounds like a gypsy circus

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

So what was the fight about ?

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

^^ Brooklyn Pakistanis think they are better than Bronx Pakistanis. So they duked it out to settle it. :)

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

While I respect the content of your excellent posts (though some details go over my head), I was surprised you would inadvertently target a minority group by referring to that group while describing a negative event. In the South Asian community, unfortunately this attitude is accepted.

As for Ghetto element, folks in Ghettos (at least in the US) are victims of institutionalized discrimination, hence are victims of the system. Too often, they get negative press, especially from media which is right of center. So I would choose to use rowdy behavior rather than ghetto behavior to describe such conduct.

Peace.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

While the fight clearly was in poor taste, I do not see any negative behavior here. Just some kids letting off steam. In fact, it was mundane enough that I could not watch the whole video.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

^^ I guess. They are basically version of Guidos. Some Italians don't like Guidos. I guess I have the same feeling towards these guys.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

Thanks for sharing these .. Well, I'd been hearing a lot about similar sorta incidents on parade day but I thought ppl just make these up.. but now I dont think I'd ever think about going in there.. :)

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

American Pakistanis need to learn a thing or two from their brothers in the UK.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

They need to learn a lot.. from everyone I think.. But the problem is, some of these guyz have pops running multiple stores or big businesses so they just dont give a damn.. did you see the cars in this second vid? They havent done any sh!t to get their a$$ up there.. why should they care!

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

I guess so but they will suffer in life. Not being able to wisely hit their potential which is such a waste only one can distinguish at its finest merits on his deathbed.

Re: Fight on Pakistan Day Parade in New York City

Thanks for the comments. I would like to clarify the post: When I was referring to gayest, I should have said the most effeminate Pakistan Zindabad I have every heard. Clearly homosexuals are not prone this type of violence.

As for the ghetto comment: I think it pertains to a class rather than an actual ghetto dweller. In the US, there is a "ghetto" class irrespective of their residence. This ghetto class exists in urban, suburban and even rural areas. In many instances these kids are sons of well to do parents yet have adapted the ghetto class behavior.
