Regardless of all the so-called technological achievement & buying spree, i still believe PAF will be sitting ducks if they have to fight with US or in our case India. Nuclear capability does give us a room to breath, with test of battlefield range ballistic missile few weeks ago provide a proper deterrent for cold start doctrine.
Pakistan have to change her regional policy and dynamics of threat perception must be changed in our defense services. National Security policies must be made in parliament/senate not in the close doors of GHQ. The time is running out for us, if we didn’t understand and change our course, the world will happily abandon us. If American’s can take Osama, tomorrow countries like Iran will do the same (well they already done it twice).
yeah great idea buy planes from amerika the same amerika when you buy F-15 fighter plane they deliver half order 20 years later or give you soya beans instead!!!
Pakistan should produce their own planes and joint project with china is good start, yes they are inferior now but over time they will advance and catch up to first world planes.
this is a common mistake in understanding. Being a smaller, less diversified and more focussed economy, Pakistan can easily grow fast once the current atmosphere of terrorist tensions are rested.
But you’re right, India cannot afford an economic slow down caused by war.
But the main reasons India will not attack Pakistan are two fold and well proven:
India has a non-aggression policy and
India knows it is foolish to mess with a nuclear armed Pakistan
A little ammendment to what u wrote. India would never go to war with Pakistan (at least not in foreseen future) because India’s economic boom and the plan to become leading regional military/economical power would be wiped off for good. India has way lot more to lose and Pakistan has nothing to lose. Its ironic but that is the truth.
