Hey guys, my fiance finally received his sherwani yesterday. Fitting and all great but when his fam members were picking it up from the designer (Munib Nawaz), they didn’t pay close attention (it’s now here in North America). There’s those darzi chalk marks all over the white collar :(. Kind of dissapointing, I expected better.
The dry cleaners said they couldn’t guarantee that it would come off. Does anyone know how to best remove those from an off white sherwani?

I would try 2 things out before going online and just buying a spot remover.
1) Get white vinegar and a WHITE cloth (use white so no colour transfers onto the sherwani) - and soak the cloth with some vinegar and gently rub the chalk marks and see if that works.
2) Try a Mr.Clean magic eraser on the chalk marks - rub gently.
If these 2 things don't seem to work - I would try to get it dry cleaned and hope for the best.
If that still doesn't get it out - order a fabric stain remover off of ebay or amazon. That's your best bet and should work if all else fails.

Ouch.
Before trying anything, I would go to Joan Fabrics, buy a piece of fabric similar to sherwani, and buy some chalk. Now experiment all you can, in fact put some chalk marks on that sample fabirc and give it to the dry cleaner to clean. Its going to be worth the try. Dont experiment of sherwani.

Thanks guys and here's an update for you. So fiance didn't listen to me, and tried to wipe it off using one of the many suggestions here and on the web. It didn't work. He then sent it for dry cleaning and hoped for the best. Alhamdulillah it came back and it's okay! There's some yellow remaining on the collar, but on the inside so it wont show!! phew
