Maybe it’s not considered a nice thing in his family? Some families just don’t like the concept of fiancés getting too close before marriage and he’s just following what his family does. He needs to know its the norm in your family and you aren’t going to judge him for any communication he starts.

The fact that he’s communicating with your family is a very good sign so I don’t think you have anything to worry. Why don’t you add him on facebook?

I dont know what is the reason behind it. I tried contacting him but his replies seems like he is not much interested in talking. Anyways, he doesnt have a facebook account.
