Few things.

Few things i thought would be worth the while to bring up. It’d be great if something could be done about them.

  1. In the audio gallery the links to upload audio or mp3 are missing.

  2. In old gs at the bottom right of every page was a Quick Jump menu that was used to hop to other parts on the forum. Its kinda missing in this one.

  3. In old gs we could see at the main page who the last poster in each forum is. We can’t in this one.

Re: Few things.

I think #2 is taken care of.

The rest, I'll leave for the techies.

Any other comments/suggestions, post here. Thanks.

Re: Few things.

Congrats all around on the new version of GS

I wanted to point this out:

For all GS users who had any PM’s in their inboxes before the version migration, the PM’s they had were stored in the older version,

http://www.gupistan.com/forums/private.php

For all the users, their Pm’s are still only accessible through the older version.

Even when a user goes to the older version and replies to any of those PM’s, the receiver of this PM also has to go to the older version to view the reply. When that user replies, that reply is also sent to the other user’s older version of private messaging…and so on…

The point I’m trying to raise is that this process creates a cycle where that chain of Pm’s is still only accessible through the link to the older version of GS private messaging. Thus unless someone specifically writes a PM using the new version, the Pm’s will only be accessible via the older version.

I’m not sure if I’m clear…?

A suggestion to solve this problem is to automatically direct any new Pm’s that any guppie receives to the new version, and delete them from the older version so that users can stop using the older version of PM’s.

Re: Few things.

hmmm i just saw in Faisal bhai's GS 2005 announcement thread that the PM's from the older version can't be transferred to the new version...so not sure if my post above has already been addressed by that..in case its not been i'll leave it there for consideration by techies... :=)
