Whether its quota system or division of Sindh: PTI either needs to passionately oppose it or support it to stroke emotions on either side. Yes ethno- nationalism is the ultimate reality.

How about supporting LG system unequivocally and not align with PPP on this issue? Does your brave leader have the guts to do it? Railing against drones is easy as it is a popular, but leadership is doing the right thing even when it isn't popular. Where is imran calling for shutting down wahabbi madarsas?

Re: Few Question to Sindhi/Karachiites brothers.
PTI will of course have some 'attraction' here and there, but the point is, Imran and PTI will never achieve a breakthrough in Sindh until they recognise the reality of ethno-nationalism there. PTI will have to decide which part of Sindh it needs to appeal to - the rural or the urban. They can't have support in both!

There is simply not enough 'against' votes for MQM despite all evil they have done, so bit naive to assume that magically there will be 'for' votes for PTI if they fix themselves here and there. The situation is not as simple as some people make it look like.
PTI can gain more votes if they show they care for Karachi specific issues and not just another anti-MQM party (alliance with PPP/JI/JUI/LeJ/SSP). Even if they want to stay mum on divisive issues like quota system, they can raise voice against transport mafia (preventing mass transit) and land mafia (wholesale land encroachment). You just can't see beyond the limits of ethnic realities.
Re: Few Question to Sindhi/Karachiites brothers.
You missed out on most fair solution i.e.
Rangers operation should continue without extra judicial stuff (thats what make MQM hero from Zero), Karachi's political & other problems should be solved or at least we should start addressing the issues like quota system, transport, water etc etc. You can get rid of MQM only if you address the issues that MQM use to get support.
Re: Few Question to Sindhi/Karachiites brothers.
Will imran alienate large sections of Pakistan to appease karachi? We already have seen take it or the highway approach from one of the bombastic niralas on this very thread. Quota system has had a lesser effect as private sector has bounced back from Bhutto days. I think that supporting the local govt and taking on land/transport mafia would be a good start. Imran only criticizes and while it may be fine for gulli danda or mullah nahari house customers, he is in govt now so he has to offer concrete solutions.

Quota system is not only for jobs its implemented in Universities, other govt/semi-govt institutes and other civil services. This is what Karachi youth goes through everyday (Karachi youth can be anyone including urdu speaking, punjabis, sindhis, baluchis or pashtoons). Having Karachi's domicile is like a certificate that you have been raped and no one will marry you. I have nothing against other ethnic groups living in Karachi but many of my friends who were born and raised in Karachi (but are punjabi or sindhi or pakhtoon) get domiciles from their "home" even though they are actually Karachites and havent been to their home for years and years. So yeah Quota system, local govt, transportation and basic needs (like water etc) are the biggest issues in Karachi that other major parties do not pick any side. (except off course MQM and PPP)
Re: Few Question to Sindhi/Karachiites brothers.
i know about the domicile problem. In fact, I know of people who would live in karachi for decades but their watn / mulk was back home in punjab. I always thought that it was a minority of seats for other people from the country, but I could be wrong. The whole quota system, even if it had to be implemented, has been done all wrong. I do have to say that bhutto was a genius by instigating this city vs. rural conflict instead of doing the hard work of developing sindh / punjab or rest of Pakistan to have universities and hospitals like they do in america at where the people live. Even third class US states like mississippi have state and local universities.
Imran khan doesn't even have the guts to come out on the LG issue in sindh, so what makes you think that he would do anything for such a politically conscious issue? I do think that PTI did the right thing in waking up the youth, but he is not the future of Pakistan.

When ‘Bol ke lab’ was released and was sung during some award show (or probably Shoaib Mansoor’s TV 20), Tina Sani had become brave to face camera. It was her first video, when she did not know how to face camera and was nervous rone dhone jaisi ![]()

You forgot to answer my previous post. Tell me which of the following issues aren't Karachi specific issues. Go on point out:
Political mafia, target killings, daily strikes, extortion, ghettoisation, capital flight, terrified business community, gangs & crime, china cutting, land mafia, politicised police force, ghost employees, political appointments.
MQM had also made JUI-F and PPP and 'establishment'. So who are you kidding? But then again, I am getting sick of tired of *MQM ko billion khoon maaf he *logic.

You are focused on MQM and unable to see what Imran is not able to do right. Things like quota system are a reminder to mohajirs that ethnic politics are a reality. Why is it implemented only in Sindh? Due to the ethnic makeup in Sindh isn't it? Is the disparity in urban and rural facilities any different in other provinces? If PTI supports it in Sindh, why don't they implement such a system in KPK now? You should stop blaming mohajirs for Imran Khan's failures.

You accused PTI and Imran of not doing Karachi specific campaign. I gave you 14 points on which PTI based their whole Karachi campaign. Now you can help me understand Karachi politics bit more by pointing out which of the following issue is not a Karachi issue, and how it does not affect Muhajirs:
*Political mafia, target killings, daily strikes, extortion, ghettoisation, capital flight, terrified business community, gangs & crime, china cutting, land mafia, politicised police force, ghost employees, political appointments. *
Re: Few Question to Sindhi/Karachiites brothers.
I do not believe in crazy theories, neither do I have the time and energy to waste on Pakistani politics and its news channels. Yes, I belong to a middle class area of Karachi and my vote and qurbani ki khaal, both are for MQM. :p
Over and over again, it is MQM who has done the most to help my neighbourhood. Any MQM majority neighbourhood, you will find that has relatively better infrastructure than the non-MQM neighbourhoods. I don't have to be a bigshot to go to MQM's office just to register a complain in the neighbourhood and have them work on it. They make themselves available to us. The leaders are from within us, and live among us. They know my problems and understand it. Haters see the MQM support as one particular community, you will be surprised how many different communities support MQM.
Any other party who can do it better can have my vote. For now, it is patang patang patang.
This is the reality, no Hamza Abbasi and no Mani can make me realize otherwise. It is not something I have heard from anyone but I have seen it from my own eyes.
