Can someone please recommend a good Fertility clinic in the Mississauga or Toronto area? I’ve been reading some horrid reviews on the RE’s that work at many of the Fertility clinics and it has me scarred silly. I’m ready to go to a Fertility clinic but I don’t want to be treated like cattle. Please let me know or if you know of someone that went to one and had a good experience, please advise. I’ve spent the entire day crying because I think I might be having my second miscarriage right now. ![]()
Re: Fertility clinic in Toronto or Mississauga?
i'm so sorry :(
your best bet would be to ask your doctor, or you can call someone maybe at Mt. Sinai and ask? they might even have fertility specialists there, in fact, and it is a WONDERFUL hospital.
Re: Fertility clinic in Toronto or Mississauga?
candy...in Canada or atleast is my experience fertility clinics or RE's will not take you on as a patient unless you've been refered by your doctor or Ob. I went to Dr Michael Essam...he heads up Astra fertility and although the clinics are very busy and they have a system of getting your bloodwork and ultrasounds done that is very regimented I found the nurses to be helpful and found the Dr Essam was kind had excellent bedside manner and listened to my concerns. Feel free to PM me if you'd like specifics of my experience.
Inshallah things will work out...I'll keep you in my prayers.
Re: Fertility clinic in Toronto or Mississauga?
Thanks sgc and Ramsha.
I will find out in a few days if it is just a REALLY delayed period or an early miscarriage. I've never had my cycle last longer than 45 days and today on day 47 I started getting my period.
I'm so frustrated with my extremely long and irregular cycles. It is different every month. Last month 39 days, the month before 35 days, the month before 31 days and then I have had previous cycles where it was 42 days and 45 days. I just want to get treatment to regulate my periods and find out if I even ovulate or not and also find out if there is some other major problem that is keeping me from getting pregnant. I'm soooo depressed. I don't know what to do. :(
I really hope I can get some treatment from a good RE soon.
Re: Fertility clinic in Toronto or Mississauga?
If you're having periods regardless of how regular they are chance are you're ovulating. One of the things a RE will do is monitor you're ovulation so you know what the best time for you to concieve is. Good luck with everything and do go speak to your doctor. I found that I was a lot less stressed once I seeked medical advise and knew what the problem was/had a plan.
Re: Fertility clinic in Toronto or Mississauga?
new life fertility in Mississauga. Ask for Dr. Soliman. He may not be the best people person, but he is thorough and inshallah will get the job done.
I had gone to Dr. Michael and he told me I had no issues, and for 7 years I had no luck. Went to see Dr Soliman who diagnosed me in my first cycle.
Dr Peter Leung at Toronto fertility center in north York he is absolutely wonderful my first cycle with him BFP
