**Double world champion Fernando Alonso has hailed the new Ferrari F10 as the best car he has ever driven.**Alonso was 1.5 seconds slower than McLaren in last week’s Jerez’s test, but he explained that Ferrari were yet to show their true potential.
“This is the best car I’ve ever had,” said the 28-year-old, who won the world title in 2005 and 2006 with Renault.
“Red Bull, McLaren and Renault have been very quick and have shown their cards, while we are still hiding ours.”
World champion Jenson Button clocked the fastest time in Jerez, while Alonso was quickest in Valencia.

Red Bull also looked impressive in testing, but Alonso believes Ferrari are the team to beat.
“We will analyse the data, but we are very optimistic,” he said.
"If I were in a different team I would be looking at Ferrari because everything is going really well.
“Maybe where Ferrari has to improve is the short runs with little fuel onboard.”
The final test takes place at Barcelona next week before the season-opening race in Bahrain on 14 March.
