Ferrari dominates

how about them eh’ 4 for 4..and i was reading Jensen Button’s interview, and he said that he was totally shocked by the pace of ferrari, and the way shumacher won the San Marino grand prix. I know that pit stop strategies played a huge part, but the way it’s going, I think we may have the constructors’ and drivers’ champion, almost mid way through the season. Would you rather see an exciting season, close races, or ferrari’s domination..? Being a ferrari fan, it’s hard to decide..at the same time, other teams have not been able to match the technical experties and improvements done by ferrari. Whatever, formula they got, it’s damn workin fine.. :smooth:

apart from the pace, ferrari scored heavily in the pit stop strategy..
they timed thier pit stops to perfection for Schumi...by the time first round of pit stops were over Schumi had gained a 16 sec lead ( good enuff for a spare pit stop)

and come to think of it this was supposed to be Michellins track

Actually it was pretty mean of Schumi to butt out Montoya at the start-up - which Montoya cribbed in the post race tele-con...plus it was stupid of Baby Schumi to overtake Montoya when there was no room for it..and Raikonnen's bad luck continues..it was a sorry story to see Raikonned making way for Schumi as he was being lapped.

why there's always hue n cry when shumi butts someone out..i don't think he broke any rules; and these kind of things are part of the race..like it or not. But, the cars running on michellins do not seem to have any edge anymore like the last season. The bridgestone have improved tremendously just in a span of one season. Ferrari just happens to be an all round talented team, from the drivers, to the race planners calling the pit stop strategies, to the technicians..they always find a way to put it together and manage to win races in adverse circumstances, i don't think there's any team which even come closer ..and that's why they are the champions :)

since the discussion started with jenson button's interview..and ferrari, this maybe relevant..

Jenson Button could replace Michael Schumacher at Ferrari, according to team technical director Ross Brawn.

Button has enjoyed a stunning start to the season for BAR, culminating in pole position and second place at the San Marino Grand Prix at the weekend.

And Brawn told BBC Radio Five Live: "One day Michael's going to stop and you've got to look around and see who's the best at that stage.

"I think Jenson will be on that list for sure."

Button is now third place in the world championship standings with 23 points, 17 behind Schumacher, the runaway leader.

Prior to the season, the English driver had not managed a podium finish but, in his last three races, has boasted two third places and a runners-up spot.

And Brawn added: "I think he's doing a fantastic job. He knows the circuits now and he's learning how to work with the teams.

"I think he'll be a hot property in the next couple of years.

"I think he showed signs in the early days, but if you get in the right environment and the right people behind you believe in you it raises your game.

"You see all the signs of that."
