Ferozi

Re: Ferozi

This is the colour…

Re: Ferozi

I wore ferozi (turquoise) on my walima too, never wore that colour before and was surprised at how nice it looked in real life :)

Re: Ferozi

brousha is like georgtte, with design (flowers) like in jamawar, but its not of that golden colour. its more like a self printed cloth. its the embroidery imprinted into the fabric but not silky.

Re: Ferozi

Re: Ferozi

(she must have loved his son :))

Re: Ferozi

That is me wearing it :halo:

yup, that is part of a set given to me by my MIL. the necklace looks like the bracelet. the earrings are very pretty, delicate jhumkas.

yup – that’s the tradition in our families – groom’s side makes the barat and valima dresses for the bride.

Re: Ferozi

u must be from karachi right?

ours looks to be the same but we'll see inshallah.

btw, really nice dress :) and the advantage is that you can wear it over and over again w/o looking like a dulhan all the time :)

Re: Ferozi

yes d’uh lol, i meant a fuller standing up shot so i could see the full gharara :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Ferozi

Re: Ferozi

Re: Ferozi

Re: Ferozi

lol we have the same tradition. but i thought she actually made (sewn by herself) the dress for u :cb:

Re: Ferozi

^ haha no!

Re: Ferozi

In case anyone needs the info -- the ferozi angharka is made by a woman named Safia who has a boutique in Karachi. The ferozi gharara was made by Shaheena @ Barka, in Defense, Karachi.
