Few people doubt one’s manliness when one’s answer is “NO” to questions like " Do you adopt immoral ways to satisfy your desires". Or if one avoids discussing females in immoral ways. Others call them " A real man" due to their built, height and looks.
From history I know that people doubted one’s manliness if a soldier was not fighting in a war and stayed at home due to fear. A real man was considered to be the one who could control his sexual desires and anger. Your views ?
Feminity
What contributes in maintaining the “feminity” of a women and How a women is able to maintain her feminity if the environment is opposing her ?
Ok, though there might be other factors, I would give you one example.
My only sister is the youngest sister of four brothers, due to which people used to fear that due to influence of elder brothers, she might grow up to adopt habbits and hobbies which are more referred specifically to "boys" like cricket, video games..etc and leave things like mehendi, churriyan, lipstick, nail polish....etc. but I appreciate that she always looked up to her mother as someone to follow and did what she sincerly felt from heart to maintained her feminity but also keeping herself within the limits of her beliefs.
In other cases, it might be possible that a muslim girl living in the west might believe that "Hijaab" is part of her feminity, but her family is forcing her to avoid it due to fear of prejudice of other residents in that area

**In my opinion the Oldest Child if it is a girl may turn out to be a Tom Boy, usually youngest sibling especially with an older sister like yourself will be closer to her sister, becuase boys games are rough and tumble, that does not interest little girls to much.. **
**Not to worry, **
**And as far as video games I have seen little girls beat the boys at video games even martial arts type games little girls excell at them, and it does not diminish their Feminity one bit........:) **
^ Ahem, I am "included" in the four brothers. She is the only sister and she is the youngest. That is, she doesn't have a sister but 4 brothers who are all elder to her. :)
Thanks for sharing your views, I do understand that these days video games have become popular among girls as well.

Sorry wrong assumption on my part, the youngest in the family is a girl, seeing all you boy's antics will definitely turn her away from being a Tom Boy.
**I am sure there are female cousins that she can socialize with?..:) **
why are you guys assuming that she's going to turn into a tomboy? what is wrong with being a tomboy? i think it's just part of the femininity of a woman. it's not something that has rigid definitions, but encompasses many facets of a woman's personality.
I know many girls who grew up in an all girl's environment and turned out to be "tomboyish" similary others have grown up around brothers but they are the optimum example of girly ness.
