why females r shown as weak in all the religions on this earth.take any religion,society female is expected to be rule by the males.by their brothers,fathers,husbands,sons.if god has created male and female equal then y this discrimination.y females r torchered as if they dont ve seprate existence,they r treated as slave.y this discrimination.if this is god made then its better not to follow such god.discard all such religions.live by example,equality of rights for both male and female.females must ve the same rights as males.

Now, go into Indian, western and any culture before 50 years ago and see if you can see any formidable female figure…
And just look at how many heroines and stalwart women for the past 1,500 years Islam has been creating…They were women, who could stand up to any person they wanted…
You see, Islam is a means of grooming…Those who follow it fully are very well behaved, polite and trustworthy people…In women, it has the effect of turning them truly into woman, which has opinions based on her faith and has the fortitude and the strength to stand firmly upon them…
A true Muslim woman is not a painted puppet to be dragged around by the strings of fashion dictated mostly by men…Muslim women are those that choose to be women in their own right…No force on earth can tell a true Muslim woman what to wear or not to wear (Except the husband)…

ever seen her? she does not look destitute and slave...rather she looks powerful and free. infact more powerful than ALL of the males in this gupistan...none of us has the guts to take up arms against the repressive regimes we talk about and risk losing your life for your beliefs . she has a gun but we can also see religion with her, so the religion makes her stronger not weak. it makes her dignified not humiliated. it gives her the right to defend herself not be passive in front of aggression. pick up a gun and scarf at the same time and then ask me if islam makes women weak and destitude...

Depends on what you mean by strong. Since you mention all religions, I guess I can answer as a Catholic. I am also not going to go into famous but deal with the everyday strength that women have.
Women can never be physically strong, that is true. We may have roles that society has deemed weak, but that is society and not God. God blessed us with a way of bring souls into this world. If God truly thought we were the weaker sex, would he have given this responsibility to us? Think about it.
He gave us strength of conviction in our religion, that no matter how many reject your belief or ridicule you for doing what you believe is right, you still go out on Ash Wednesday and indure the stupid comment thrown at you ( :) christian but substitute a Muslim ritual someone has made a stupid comment about). This is a strength we share with men, as equals, perhaps more since women has the outward adornments of faith (hijab, burqua, etc).
God gave men and women equal roles with different responsibilities, society has determined that the roles of giving birth and raising a child are worthless and make you weak, God never did. As far as listening to your husband, God also instructed men to take councel with their wives, which many conviently forget.
There is a lot of difference between what society defines as weak and what God has determined to be strength.

Second, hey, don’t I as a husband have the right to say what I like on my wife? Well, my elders might object on too much fashion…
What’d you think…That I’d force the Hijab on her? No way…
If I want her to wear a Hijab, I’d request…I’d request her in a way she wouldn’t be able to refuse…
But seriously, the reason I’d personally prefer a Hijaban, is that the issue of Hijab would be out of the way…I wouldn’t have to request nothing…
I would agree with many, who would say that the Hijab is not a guarantee of good faith, but hey…Too see is to believe, and trust me, we all err, at one point or another…To be the one to throw the first stone, one would have to be a mighty figure of Prophetic proportions indeed…None was there then…None is here now…
But I’ll settle for looks right now so I’ll definitely accept Hijab, and if it’s fashion gone wild, then I’ll speak…
Anyways, did I tell you, for whatever and not always, you right well…?

Women need to be controlled because they cause a lot of trouble for men.
a: Keep the women constrained
b: Get them (boys and girls) married as soon as they reach puberty
c: Keep the married one constrained too
Peace will be on earth sooner than we know.
a, b, c were practiced in the old days, whenever one of 'em was broken/overlooked war ensued. Learn from History.
Woman and religion is the root of all evil. Thats why most if not all religions dictate that woman is second to man. The Abrahamic faiths all derive Eve out of Adams rib. That means Adam was stronger to woman and was here first. Using benefit of the doubt Man wins; women thank you come again.

fighting to defend your honor is weakness? picking up a gun so no rapist can lay his hands on you is cowardliness? making sure your children are protected from the butchers and thugs roaming in the streets is dishonarable?
all the honorable traits are hated by the kuffar. they would rather see women be raped by occupiers than to pick up arms to defend their honor. only those who value life of this world over the life of hereafter can agree to live in dishonor.

Religion protects us. It’s our society, esp desi, that has distorted Islam to be something oppressive and repulsive. Muslims are the ones at fault here, not Islam itsself

Ever been to Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan? I think not.
Women have been at the recieving end cause they are treated as ornaments, symbols of honor, property which can be sold or bartered. Religions tried to inculcate a sense of equlity, honor and prestige, but then again Male dominated interpertations and religious explanations have distorted religious edicts. NOTE: This goes for all religions…

Fartguru that's exactly what I said. The true intent of religion, of Islam, was to give women a sense of equality, honor and prestige. It is the people, the ones in charge of interpreting religious texts and teaching it to the public, that have distorted religion.

In American redneck and backward, semi-literate Pakistani families, women are treated very much the same way...Ignorantly and oppressively...
The knowledgable Muslim's women are on a pedestal, far from cultural, social and psychological trauma, unlike the women of semi-literate Muslims...
A Muslim is already educated on the basis of how he should treat the women, older, equal or younger than himself...It is the moderate Muslim who is uneducated in our countries about how to treat women and respect to give them...
In Arabia and Afghanistan, women were made sure they weren't treated as commodities, sold, bought and given away as gifts...
But it happens in backward Paki families, where the Islamic etseem placed upon the woman is absent, hence you get the ignorant viewpoint that a true Muslim will subjugate other women...
This is a very backward, close minded and ill-informed viewpoint...
