I am getting married this summer and I am looking for a female videographer based in Toronto but I am also working with a budget.

Hi, I was in the same predicament. I am going with Escape Studios, but told them I would need a female videographer for the mehndi, and they said they can accomodate that. Also, ABCi said they can accomodate a female videographer.
I havent spoken to these people, http://www.videobabylon.ca/, but I think they also have a female videographer.

What the average that a good videographer charges per day (say for evening functions)? I was thinking of ABCi & Film style weddings etc. Anyone have any idea???

ABCi charges on average $1600-1800 per event, depending on the number of people attending your event (because lots of people would warrant a second camera). As for Film Style, I think their charges are about the same. ABCi quoted me $6500 for 3 days (because we are having all large events), and Film Style quoted me $5800 for 3 days. So that should give you an idea. Also, Escape Studios is really good, and the guys from there are so nice to work with - they charge $4000 for 3 days.

^ that is just for video. ABCi also does photography, but that is separate pricing. I didnt talk to them about photography, because I went with someone else. Escape doesnt do photography.
