All services preformed by the Pope are in Latin by tradition, since priests are longer taught this, this shouldn't be too much of a problem. Since the country is in Italy, most of the people you address in that country speak Italian (which is a latin based language). Relocation is an issue, also, for one reason or another. Priests may not be able to have children, but they still have families.
Just circumstance really, not because they are better or more religious. Just have the homefield advantage, as I said earlier.
Lets take the 24 milion Africans as 100%. Of which 40% infected are women. So that would be: 9.6 million women. You agree with the calculations?
Now the population of the African continent was roughly 800 million people in 2000. Taken from this site: United Nations Maintenance Page
Now if you take 40% of 800 million people you get 320 million people. That is nearly 13 times more than the total number of people infected with aids in 2000.
Same applies to my statements. 40% of women have HIV/AIDS. That is out of the 24 million of which 60% are men. I can easily ask a mod to seperate this thread if you like.
CM, please stop, didn't I just say go back and read what you have posted originally. Do that first.
ravage - Since I beat you to this earlier, I have regretted it, is it possible to tag someone in on this part of things? Lost interest and this guy won't let go....
Bah...i get it now. Worded it incorrectly. Gave the wrong subject the empahsis. The subject should have been employment and HIV and not women. Agreed i worded it completely incorrect.
Women can be priests. Things are changing in the Christian faith too. Who said people accept it easily. My idol is a priest. A female one. And one of the most delicious feminists in the world other than my mother. Not that my mother would ever admit that she is a feminist.
She calls herself a lady of the church in her eccentricness, I havnt really paid much attention past her witty blonde-ness. Also, she is not catholic....
Respectfully, Hiccup, she is not a Priest, she is a christian Minister.
As in Islam, there are many sects of christianity, the largest and the orginal is the Catholic church. A woman cannot be a Priest in the Catholic church, however in the other sects of christianity, they have them.
hiccup, wow we grown men are shaking in our boots....not really. She sounds like a broken record of "Men are pigs", "Women have been wronged" "I dont know zilch about Islam but will go to any length to prove that my way is correct" etc etc.
kaleem I know, she sounds stupid, however the thing (and the only thing) that bugs me is that stupidity that is thus displayed kinda undermines the subject. Female liberation in ceratin situations is important and necessary. And there is a way to go before total equality is achived. But with her the issue ( which is dear to me) becomes a joke too.
O well, live and let die. PCG jug jug jeeyo. No offence intended etc :=p
