fellowships for girls

Dear Guppy girls,

We still have some positions open for Fellowships in our 2004 program,
which starts this coming January. In addition, we are recruiting
candidates for our 2005 Fellowship program. The Fellowship offers
qualified graduate students a $9000 stipend and tuition assistance for
an intensive six-month educational program that includes a
policy-related field placement on women and public policy based in
Albany, NY. If you know of any graduate students interested in learning
more about the state public policy process who might be interested in
our program, could you please forward this email to them and elsewhere
to help us spread the word.

Policy field placements likely in 2004 include placements on fiscal
policy projects, state workforce issues, state policy and immigrants,
and nonprofit advocacy placements. We are seeking candidates with a
background in a variety of social policies, including child care, health
policy and substance abuse. We especially seek students with research
skills, and those familiar with fiscal health policies, including
revenue maximization, Medicaid rules and regulations, and Medicaid
utilization management.

Application forms may be downloaded at our website. Students intending
to apply for 2004 should immediately email me a copy of their updated
resume at [email protected]. For further information, you may contact me
at (518) 442-3875, or see our website at www.cwig.albany.edu. Many
thanks for your assistance.
