Re: Felicitations!!! - Celebrating 60th Independence Day of Pakistan

At a crossroad indeed.

May the educated lead the ignorant, The strong lift up the weak, and the moderates hold Pakistan's hand in her adolescent stage so she may grow stronger gaining further stability and freedom. May Pakistan reject those who wish to send the nation back to an archaic period, a road that leads to a weaken, more dangerous state using the tools of oppression and single minded ness to get there.
May the next 60 years move you forward, not backwards.

Long live responsibile Pakistan.

Have you forgotten about the British/French invasion of Mexico during the American Civil War?

In which these countries wanted to create a British/French empire in Central America and then annex Texas?

Re: Felicitations!!! - Celebrating 60th Independence Day of Pakistan

It had nothing to do with "re-colonizing" the US as you say. It can be best described as the clash of interests that US and Japan had in the Pacific in WWII, when Japan was expanding to the south. It might not be even that since Japan attacked Pearl Harbour, knowing it would get into confrontation with the US some day.

Monroe Doctrine had nothing to do with Europeans taking a panga in US territory. You are right that Pakistan is facing trouble but it is not something that hasn't happened before. We nearly came to an end in 1971 if you know what I mean. The only trouble is that we can't have a "free for all" situation like the US Civil War, since outside powers will and have made intentions to interfere in Pakistan. This is why, I hope, that we are able to pull our act together so we can avoid a bloody revolution BUT i guess 1971 hasn't really taught us any lessons..
