Ages ago i opened a thread on feet. Living in denmark ( inside the flat all the time ) and rarely wearing open slippers cuz of the winter my feet were perfect. But now..back in England. Out all the time, the sunny weather…the toes are darkening again.
How do you wear sandals yet save your feet going black
Well its the same as tanned arms or face. They dont get black, just tanned. Plus I walk around bare foot a lot in summer too. Yet the sun and air seem to do good.
sara, mad scientist caused right an uproar when he posted the pic of the foot in my last thread…as long as you promise your foot is easier on the eye…you can post :looksaway:
Aww, well I guess different skin types react differently to the sun? Well bandage up that poor foot and hmm no idea what you should do if your feet blacken instead of getting tanned (although I still dont understand this concept of “blackening” ). Maybe wear sandals that are covering from the top and open at the sides? Ive no idea.
Can’t you just put strong sunscreen on your feet? I spent a day out on a hot day with a group that included a girl who wore open design sandals. She put sunscreen on her feet except on her toes. By the end of the day, her toes were darker than the rest of her feet.
Partically in summer, the feet need lots of attention and moisturizing. What I do, is take warm water and put some oil especially for feet in it (you can get those at any drug or cosmetic store) and let them soak for a while, then I rub off any dead skin from the back of the feet with an applier, again u get get one of those from any drug or cosmetic store.
Afterwards I dry my feets with a towel and then file my nails and scrub the dead skin around the nails with the file, then I put on some calcium oil around the nails then I put lots of moisturizing cream all around my feet, back and front, I'm using shea bodybutter from the body shop, also before going to bed, I rub and message the feet with the bodybutter and in the morning, the feet are all smooth, clean and fair looking.
