feeling spiritually dead/empty on the inside

anyone felt that way? Ramzan is coming up and i dont wanna feel like this through ramadan, any help?

there was a time when islam gave me goosebumps and a comforting warmth on the inside.. not anymore..

i suppose it was blind faith, now im just confused and envy those who seem to be at peace.

i dont know if this is hecause ive become a wahhabi and maybe being a hanafi-sunni-deobandi was more closer to the truth and thats what i should have remained or maybe Allah doesnt want me to see the truth because of my sins..

Well I find that if you just read the Quran with an open heart it helps. Try to quiet your mind and put aside anything that is blocking you from Allah. Sometimes feelings of guilt or unworthiness prevent you from truly allowing Allah into your life. If you feel your sins are keeping you from submitting to God, then know that if you truly ask for forgiveness Allah is Merciful.

Getting on the right path begins with humbling yourself. We are all weak humans, we make mistakes, we lose our way. But Allah forgives and his strength helps us stay on the right path. It's not easy but I hope you find a sense of inner peace. Just start reading and do Namaaz.

When Ramzan would come you would feel it; nothing is dead in your feelings; no one feels about ramazan until we see Chand of first ramazan.

If you want to have good ramazan to pass. Join shaban with ramazan by fasting few days of last days of shaban; that is connect shaban fasts with ramazan, by keeping 28,29 and 30th shaban fast and then you would keep first ramzan fast.

Also you can start one Quran from the first page reciting it from shaban and end in Ramazan.

This way;You would be more than ever in the fullness of feeling of month of ramazan.Bye sokoon

Re: feeling spiritually dead/empty on the inside

brother what is a “wahabi” in reality? any one who follows the quran and sunnah as exactly as the sahabas followed is termed wahabi now days. and what is so wrong with following the quran and sunnah as the sahabas followed? just call your self a muslim and dont create divisions in islam on your own, if some one else calls u a wahabi, then its their fault…wallah o alam…
actually the rasul :saw: said that iman follows a cycle, sometimes it goes up and some times it goes down, so inshallah pray to allah to increase the iman.

It happens to me for a few weeks every year or two. I usually find that making dua asking Allah SWT to stengthen my imaan, and really ensuring that I get all all 5 prayers done every day helps out a lot.

Nothing hastens feeling spiritually dead like missing prayers does!
