I went to the pizza store and order a piece of pizza and a tin-can of pepsicola. After I was done eating I asked for a 5 nickel refund from the tin-can. The cashier got very angry she gave me my 5 nickel but told me to go to the grocery store for the refund. I dont understand why I have to go to the grocery store to collect my 5 nickel?

LOL that happened to me too, but 20 years ago. Dont worry about it man, dont ask for the refund, or as the lady said go to the grocery store. Pizza store gets the 5c deducted on purchase so you asking them for a refund sends their books in -ve.

There are some stores that act as redemption centers, like big supermarkets. Other stores are obligated to give you your 5cents back, but it just creates a lot of trash for them, and they don't have the space. At some point you will see a homeless person checking trash cans for redeemable cans. A big shopping cart full of cans can buy a small bottle of rot gut gin. Lots of people just throw out the cans when they are out, but collect them for redemption at home.

just dug up a thread by one of the greatest trolls ever to have romped gupshup - dangerousdesi - for the benefit of recent trolls like F.O.B who have be disappointingly mediocre, to read and learn. unfortunately, the thread surfaced in cafe (the jealous handywork of some flabby mod of that era, no doubt). dangerousdesi was a true master of his domain. any post by this great artist was simply a masterpiece. in his very short life span (whats it with genius and longevity that dont mix), he singlehandedly elevated trolling to levels that had the gupshup google pandits cowering in fear and build bunkers lined with smelly undies.

Am i the only one here who proudly yells to the person behind the popcorn counter at the movies to go easy on the ice when filling my coke? I mean as it is im already paying $6 for a flat flat flat jug of pop.. i just dont want to end up paying $6 for a jug full of ice and half an ounce of non carbonated caramel they dare call coke.
Sure im a FOB but i work hard for my money too.
