OK people, how many of you have busy and demanding lives? How many of you feel like you cannot keep up, that you get drained out by the evening and need a lot of motivation to carry on?
Well, a couple months ago, I finally joined a gym. I have spent a great deal of energy trying to workout at home using DVDs, Wii Fit, online exercises, walking outdoors etc etc… and yes, they’ve worked to a certain extent BUT, joining the gym and having a routine has been the best thing I’ve done for myself.
Advantages:
Your initial evaluation can help you determine your goals and establish a fitness regimen.
You have a variety of machines to work out on so you don’t get bored.
There’s a great deal of motivation to see other people like you trying to achieve their goals.
You take time out for yourself and that in itself is a great feeling.
So I’m going 4-5 days a week for an hour to an hour and a half. Trust me people, everyone has the time. Between my household chores, running a school, managing a few community service programs and taking care of my 2 kids, I used to feel like 24 hours isn’t enough until I made a solid decision and took that time out for myself. You figure out what you will give up to create this time but whatever it is, it is well worth it.
well i honestly think its important to make working out a habit, else it'll feel like a chore. it should be like brushing your teeth. i try to do anywhere from 30 mins to an hour on weekdays, a little extra on saturdays. its been a bit trickier since we have a kid, but its getting to the point where its on autopilot again. so looking forward to longer days though.
so happy to hear that u r enjoying some 'me time' keeping urself fresh fit and active......
true!! a little workout everyday is heaven!
i will join gym in a month or two inshaAllah!
for the past week or so, I've been drinking warm water with fresh lemon juice every morning. It's the first thing I drink. And I find that it's giving me amazing energy and I don't feel tired and bloated and generally an overall good feeling.
good work niksik.
I found that the more "responsibilities" I got the more the need to have an exercise regime increased.....cuz if I didn't, I wouldn't have the energy to get everything I need to do, done.
Sup yo!..i hope ya' in peace. Aight so Niks like to go to gym and do workout. I would say...WHERE have ya been all along. Actually that doesn't matter..coz ya've just started to workout so it's good!..Keep it up!
Establishing a workout routine was one of the best decisions I made in my life. Have had a few injuries along the way from the workouts, but it's all worth it at the end.
