that is not what is offensive. that’s a related but secondary criticism about his ignorance of basic demographic realities.

I believe he is simply talking about the current relative openmindedness shown by the Pakistani team and camp, and the mean spiritness of the Indian media and the culture in general. You cant just get away with saying oh the media is bad. How would the media be bad if it wasnt reflective of what appealed to the people? He talked about the two things together whenever I have seen him talking about it, and thats how the statement should be considered.. in totality.

please listen to his comments again. i’m not sure why you are trying to dilute his very specific remarks about the superiority of muslim “heart” in response to a question specifically about the indian people by merging it with some broader assessment of indian media coverage.

instead of trying to create a link using perverse logic about indian media reflecting meanspirited indian culture, it’s better to acknowledge that this man may simply be a bonehead with bigoted views.
