Lets also remember that in context his statement isnt about race, it is about power. In Pakistan Muslims are regarded as a minority without much power. Just as Pakistan is perceived to be a dominantly Muslim country, just as Lebanon or Malaysia is perceived to be a dominantly Muslim country, India is perceived to be a predominantly Hindu country. There is a lot of merit to that. Nobody cries racism when Malaysians or Lebanese are characterised as Muslim, even though they are 60% of those countries, compared to 80% Hindus in India.

So please, it is simply opportunistic to find an arguably technical mistake in his point, and ignore the main thrust of his statement, that at this moment, the Indian media, and Indian team are much more jingoistic and have been much less conciliatory.

what technical mistake are you talking about? the criticism is not about interchanging indians and hindus.

in response to a question specifically about the indian people (or hindus by your logic), he claimed that they don’t have big hearts like muslims and can never have big hearts like muslims. this statement also included a reference to allah having gifted muslims with superior heart.

not sure why you are bringing up his separate point on indian media negativity in the context of this bigoted comment which had nothing to do with media.
