Feel for Gayle

I know he did not score many runs himself but this is a game the Windies should have won

Once again the pathetic batters failed to back the bowlers up. Must be really hard captaining this Windies team

SA sealed the series with their third straight win

If you cannot chase 224, you should stop playing ODIs, simple as that…

SA 224
WI 157

Re: Feel for Gayle

cant imagine what thats like

Its like not able to chase less than hundred in a Test match with few sessions to spare :D

ok great…if we go by your logic, the first team that should stop playing ODIs is pakistan…the most pathetic chasers ever…bhai saab, 224 is a big score…you put 124 on the board and then ask pakis to chase it…they will make a match out of it…indians and pakistanis are worst chasers, if you ask me…sri-lankans, aussies and SAs are the best when it comes to chasing…

Gayle must take the blame on himself as well. Seriously he is a huge over rated player more like Gibbs who will score in one innings and then fail in the next 5-10 innings.

I was coming to that…

And who said Pakistan is a great team! We are only a good T20 team at the moment, an average ODI team and we suck big time in test matches because our players lack technique, temperament and discipline, hence our current ranking of #7 in both formats. We have lost 12 straight tests against Australia (must be a record! Make it 14 already

I gave Pakistan no chance in World T20. Granted they batted out of their skins against Australia but they got to the semis purely by default or fluke

And even if all the senior ‘politicians’ are back, I give Pakistan little chance of competing with Australia and England in test matches atleast this summer. 6-0 won’t surprise me at all. Remember last time we had Inzi, Yousuf and Younus (and they all batted reasonably well. If I am not mistaken, Yousuf made two scores of 190+) but we still lost the four match series 3-0

stay tuned…

agree with you GoldenAsif. the team is going to get hammered in tests with or without Younis, Yousuf, Akhtar, Malik, etc. don’t expect much from them in ODIs either - with or without the cursed seniors.

We will lose the series but not 6-0. stay tuned. lets revisit this after the series is over. As for losing 3-0, the last match is debatable thanks to Hair.

We won’t beat Australia in tests for sure. we just cannot beat them right now. might draw a game against England if there is enough interruption by weather, rain

Yes I agree, we won’t get the 6-0 defeat this summer in England. I can bet on that and If I lose I will give all non US members of GS roundtrip ticket to US.

@ GA. The problem is you make Australia bigger than they really are. They are good but not unbeatable. Remember Pakistan lost to Aussies by close margin in a couple of matches. Pakistan just need to put that much more effort to beat them. I’m pretty sure they’ll perform much better than they did last time.

IF there is no interruption by rain/weather

Are you so sure

Hey, what about guppies in the US? A roundtrip ticket to Pakistan perhaps? What say?

but that is also what separates a great team from an average one. Pakistani players lack mental toughness needed to succeed in such tight situations

yaar kyon uss becharey ka deewaliyah nikaal rahey ho

fkhan2* raat gayee baat gayee..*

I would add though that last time (2006) our bowling was severely hampered by injuries to key bowlers - Akhtar (missed all 4 tests) and Asif (played only last game, The Oval where our performance was better. infact we had the upperhand

Umar Gul we all know is not that much of a threat in tests anymore

Sure why not. My travel agent friend won’t mind giving US Guppies a good deal as well

I still remember some really pathetic umpiring decisions which went in favour of Pietersen and Cook.

BTW isn’t the thread abouy Gayle and his team?

Blame phoenix!

Re: Feel for Gayle

Sorry I merged all posts by mistake

Help on its way...

Re: Feel for Gayle

yeah i take the blame for diversion from original topic...but kaya karraien...remember sab say pehlay pakistan.......so i took it from gayle to where it belonged....mahan pakistani team.....

:mudhosh:

Re: Feel for Gayle

Gayle is becoming more and more bitter during his post match interviews. He keeps saying that other batsmen need to take responsibility too, I cannot score runs all the time. Instead of doing that, he must look to bat through an innings for once and try to make an example for others to follow.

Re: Feel for Gayle

GoldenAsif,

make sure you give appropriate topic to a thread. I thought you have feelings for Gayle. I was about to ask to move this to Life and Relationship thread :D

:omg:

hahaha!! very funny :)

But cometh the tour, Afridi will soon be feeling sorry for himself....for accepting the test captaincy!

Re: Feel for Gayle

^ feel sorry? I doubt that, it will probably be more like what Yousuf did i.e. that batsman doesn't have technique, that bowler was horrible, fielders were bad etc. More dirty laundry in the public.

Re: Feel for Gayle

I mean Afridi will curse himself for the decision esp. if we lose very badly in tests

Batting is the key for me...we match England in bowling
