I’ll keep my post as concise as possible. The point of my thread was that for anyone who spends so much energy looking at all aspects of Islam either wants to learn more about Islam which is admirable, or is completely obsessed with it, in which case if Allah wills they may be guided towards the truth that is Islam.

I do not see why it is wrong to encourage that. It does not mean that they’re above the rules, in fact, I have personally been engaged in recent topics and had the opportunity to refute their ill-founded claims specifically speaking in relation to the Sudanese incident.

The words and style of the my thread was of my own choosing, and it’s certainly open to critiquing and who better to do it than you, my brother in Islam. I meant no less respect for my family that is, the muslims. Perhaps my choice of deliberate words may have given you the opposite impression of what I intended.

Bottom line is this, if any user keeps criticizing Islam, it shows me they think a lot about Islam maybe more than I do, even if that means they think about it in negative light. How many a people who were fierce opponents of Islam, have in fact become muslims? It is Allah alone who guides people, and whenever a people have risen to attack Islam, Islam has entered their very households. This has been Sunnah of Allah from the beginning. History of full of examples that validate this.

The thread was in my personal capacity, and I specifically stated that. I do not feel the need to mask my identity to voice my opinion, so long as it’s done without violating forum guidelines and policies, I am comfortable using this username to express my views.

Typically I would bar myself from addressing a feedback thread that I am the subject of, for fairness sake, but I am hopeful my post will be received as an extension of your post, and perhaps help to bring clarity to the concerns you have raised.

Let me get this straight.

The whole notion of learning and teaching online over a discussion board like this is flawed. And the evidences are right here in regards to so called questions and biased opinions made on repetitive basis.

What we have someone registers online. Claims to have certain scenario in his or her life. And based on that scenario bring end results and forces others to agree with the end results otherwise he/she calls others:

Are you serious?

What a ridiculous example!

I merely wanted my opinion heard since so and so asked me to.

You are intolerant, bigot etc. etc.

You need to grow up.

Now: ** Do we really think that person sincerely has any intention to learn??

Absolutely not. Aggressive and bad behavior is not true seekers have.

There are ways to learn and these people have spent time growing up with lots of opportunities to seek knowledge and learn.

Besides this is 21st century. All of the questions have been answered and are at disposal of these individuals in many many forms (electronic and paper) including finding someone IN PERSON to go to and learn.

People who pose questions and incessantly argue on religion do not have intention to learn is my point here.

Why assume one way that these people have so called keen interest in learning.

Why not other way that the whole idea of posting questions on a discussion board where more than likely the answers will be given to refute their position and be called anti-social???

Bhai sahab! People do not convert religions like that.

If these people have the courage to put thumb up other’s noses REPETITIVELY then why they act surprised and play victim when given an answer?

I am aware of what Muqa Bhai is having the discussion this moment and my position was exactly the same. The answer was not supposed to be given or if it was to be given then it should NOT have been inflammatory and if inflammatory answer was given then it should NOT have been defended and if it was defended then the moderator should not have deleted my post which was within the rules and in context with what was said and how it was said and… if my post was deleted then the inciting post should have been edited or deleted as well.

I do know when someone made fun of Hindu God a while ago, the post was deleted and admins admonished the member. I myself posted against that.
