And pray tell, what is he doing about Lyari in Karachi? That place is going to the dogs, does he have a plan in action for controlling rampant violence in Karachi, or is it that PML and all these polical parties play out their gang warfare on Karachi gound, then build their mansions and factories in Punjab to make money?

actually all initiatives in punjab mostly come under provincial domain means under CM Shahbaz Sharif .... baqi provinces k CMs ko bhi apne provinces k lye kaam krna chahye ..... 18th Amendment k baad provinces almost autonomous ho gye h .....

Karachi ka issue siraf Lyari ka nhi h buht complex h .... talibans ki main financing karachi se ho rhi h in form of bank dacoity , bhatta , ransom etc .... then political war b/w PPP , MQM and ANP and now new factor PTI .... siphah sahaba (tanzeem ahle sunnat ) Vs Shia banned organizations , even Sunni Tehrik ( Brelvi) having green pagri) started collecting bhatta , issue of local body elections b/w MQM & PPP to get control of Hyderabad and Karachi .... multi dimensional problem h Karachi ki ....
agar operation krte h PML-N then hahakaar of political victimization etc , agar ni krti tau msla .... but Ch.Nisar have to figure it out , financial hub jb tk peaceful ni hoga baat ni bne gi

So Karachi is supposed to fend for itself because the provinces have been made autonomous and the central government has no responsibility? You are celebrating Nawaz Sharif here and why you voted for him, and then sampling all the work he's doing for Punjab. But when it comes to Karachi, we need to fend for ourselves while the city burns? The government has no responsibility of getting terrorism and Taliban which are coming FROM THE NORTH, and being trained IN PUNJAB, under control? Putting them in prison where they belong and hanging them for their crimes to humanity? They have no responsibility of getting other political parties under their authority and stopping them from financing criminal activity? And you listed all the parties conducting crime (PTI isn't from what I understand), and yet you failed to mention that PML also has it's ghettos and goons listed in different Karachi neighborhoods causing similar problems?

Punjab m jtne development projects ho rhe h .... Nawaz has nothing to do with it ....they come under Shahbaz .... law and order and security definitely central government ki responsibility h and now they are going for full scale military operation in waziristan ..... punjabi talibans are not being trained in punjab .... wo waziristan ja ke training lete h .... I am in full support of severa crack down on banned outfits like SSP and LeJ , JeM and JuD etc as soon as possible and punjab and central govt should work out .....

^ care to explain why PMLN govt (with the largest mandate in punjab) has decided to hold LG elections on non-party basis? Only dictators choose to hold LG elections on non party basis (Zia and Mush) in efforts to depoliticise the villages and towns. If they were really confident of their mandate, they would hold elections on party basis.
This reeks of fear, insecurity & lack of delegation capabilities and confidence in its own parties. Thats how kings behave, not democratic rulers.

Even though they are the largest party in punjab, even they know that their mandate is not as huge as it eventually was declared. Hence the fear. Non party elections also have other factors.
1) PTI has some grassroots presence in punjab and a strong LG elections performance by PTI would put onus of development on PTI shoulders and resultant credit would also have PTI's name instead of provincial government. So shahbaz sharif sb apni tasweer nahi laga sakayn ge. Plus it would really hurt SS's ego to give funds to a PTI nominated candidate.
2) local representatives without party tag would be easy to intimidate than a party one.
All in all, this move shows that PMLN has not learnt much from the past. Such a huge presence in punjab and such sad insecurities.

PML will never learn, why would it? It's only learned to be media friendly, because after the media turned ag/musharraf, now everyone knows what happens when you get on the wrong side of reporters.
So they do this to make people happy that they're seeing progress on TV.

ISLAMABAD: **Pakistan and China are set to engage in crucial talks this week on laying an oil pipeline from Gwadar Port to western China – an attempt that will allow Beijing to diversify and speed up import of crude oil.
A Chinese team is expected to reach Islamabad on August 22 to hold talks on energy issues including the oil pipeline, sources say. China had expressed interest in investing in Gwadar after Pakistan handed over control of the port to Beijing.
The negotiations will be the follow-up to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Beijing in early July, when he floated the idea of constructing an oil pipeline from Gwadar Port to western China for the transport of oil.
“Now, the two sides will discuss modalities of the project and undertaking a feasibility study to assess technical and financial viability of the pipeline,” an official said.
Later, officials said, the oil pipeline could be extended and connected with Iran which has already offered to lay a pipeline from its territory to Gwadar for supply of crude oil.
Iran had also announced its intention to set up an oil refinery with oil production capacity of 400,000 barrels per day at Gwadar Port during the tenure of previous government.
“This proposal may be feasible after the Chinese take operational control of Gwadar Port,” the official said, adding Gwadar was quite close to the Persian Gulf from where nearly 40% of the world’s oil supply passes.
According to the officials, China meets 50% of its oil demand through imports from the Middle East. Oil supplies come via Dubai-Shanghai-Urumqi route covering over 10,000 kilometres.
“Crude oil processed and refined at the Gawdar oil refinery can be exported and transported to Urumqi through the shortest possible route – Dubai-Gwadar-Urumqi covering about 3,600 kilometers – by laying an oil pipeline through the envisaged energy corridor up to western China via Karakoram Highway and Khunjrab bypass,” the official said.
Hurdles in the way like high altitude, freezing temperatures and a difficult terrain can be overcome with the help of technological advancements. Many countries have successfully completed similar pipeline projects under extreme conditions and at high altitude such as Atacama gas pipeline, Trans-Alaska pipeline and Trans-Asia gas pipeline.

Coastal Oil Refinery**
China will also discuss the feasibility of setting up an oil refinery at Gwadar in talks with Pakistani authorities. Islamabad has already pressed for reviving the stalled Coastal Oil Refinery project, which had been shelved by China in 2009-10 after the control of Gwadar Port was given to Singapore Port Authority. Global recession proved another stumbling block in the way of resuming work on the project.
Coastal Oil Refinery, which was designed to process up to 60,000 barrels of crude oil a day, was part of China’s plan to invest $12 billion in multiple projects in Pakistan.

m khud support m hu party wise elections k .... becoz manchlo aur mummy daddy DHA type auntio ne jo udham mchaya hua h GS/FB /Twitter etc pe 11th May ki election rigging ka .... wo dobara dkh le Punjab m asal popularity kis party ki h !
