Feb. 5th: Kashmir Solidarity Day

Kashmir! A history lesson and story in itself. It’s the land considered to be the Jugular vain of Pakistan, as termed by the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It is also claimed by India as being its own territory, although it is officially disputed land.

Pakistanis have always felt a strong connection with the valley as well as its dwellers the “Kashmiris”. Pakistan sees Kashmir as its own Palestine which continues to be oppressed by the Indian authorities and armed forces. Pakistanis have always shown their solidarity for their Kashmiri bretheren.

So, the core question that arises is, what is your connection to Kashmir? Why do you feel about it the way you feel about it? What are you willing to do for Solidarity with the citizens of Kashmir?

Re: Feb. 5th: Kashmir Solidarity Day

I want Kashmiris to be able to live how they want to live and if they want to be part of Pakistan that is their choice.

Re: Feb. 5th: Kashmir Solidarity Day

I too want Kashmir to be independant, so its people can choose on their own without the fear of occupation sword hanging over their head. They should be able to choose their own leaders who they'd like representing them, and then vote among them to choose one who will lead them. Who they align themselves with, is their choice. Or if they choose to be independent, that is just as good.

Freedom is the keyword.
