fearing to think

do u get to a point where ur too afraid to think any further? when ur mind has soo many questions that cannot be answered, u think “stop.. and just live!”

I often find myself wondering why we as a human race exist. Maybe im not supposed to think, i should just accept that we do.. but i cant. I want to know why we humans are here.. yes, maybe to live as muslims.. to live a life of faith and then one day die and enter the other side.. but why?

i have very obsecured questions and thoughts.. its gotten to a point where i have to just stop.

yes, im sure this has been discussed numerous times..

Thanks :)

i know itz so frustrating at timez

i mean Allah Mein can do anything. He can even look in the future so if he created us 2 determine wht kind of path will we take (whether 2 be a good muslim or not) then he can see the future n can know that wht will be our choicez. SO why create us? :konfused:

i ask my parentz that they say i think too much

i passed that Afraid to think stage... i watched a documentry called "secrets beyond matter" it really made me think.....and now i get anxiety attacks, fear or heights, and panic attacks. I just feel weird nowdays.....ahh life sucks!

i think a lot of ppl are afraid to think…so when someone says something it makes us angry and we lash out at them for being “blasphemous”…like i wonder…the whole predestiny thing…if our entire fate is set out, then is it determined taht we will sin and become “bad” muslims? and if we’re bad muslims and destined for hell, then what’s the point? I console myself thinking that Allah :swt: would never be so cruel as to predetermine that we are going to hell…Then again I don’t know… :bummer:

honestly i think we shudn’t ask so many tough questions..they only lead to confusion…just do the best u can as a Muslim and Allah will surely appreciate that

There is nothing wrong with thinking, so long as you dont jeopardize your beliefs.

you always think that there is always something bigger and mysterious then everything else out there. But when you discover theres nothing bigger than God, and God is closer to your jugular vien, all your mysteries come to a halt. You get stumped, and brought back to reality again. It is scary cause you cannae imagine anything bigger than God. So this life is all about life, death and afterlife. so all that matters is what God wants, you give him. And you only have one shot to get it right.

i don’t think we can stop ‘thinking’ because in the end that is what distinguishes humans from animals,…but then there are a lot of ‘humans’ that don’t think :konfused:

^ you saying animals don't think?

animals think with thier midbrain, whereas humans, when they're not being animals tend to think with their forebrain.

me confused is
aren’t human animals

we're all creatures. We're not all animals.

hmm interesting..

i know u cant stop thinking.. but dont u get to a point where all ur thoughts get so jumbled up and u get a lump in ur throat.. and u just stop.. hmm

/
that doesnt happen from the thinking about the following : wondering why we as a human race exist.

the scene with thoughts getting jumbled up and a lump happens because of something else  . Thats a question u will have to anwser yourself :flower1:

would you say that to a "kafir" too?

Allah miah has sent a perfect religion, if it is indeed that great, we should question it and think about it, just to proove it right, if indeed it is correct, right and so forth.

And i think it says somewhere "i have given you a brain with which to reason "

do not quote me though

Ignorance is not a belief.

Staying willfully stupid is though,

That’s called fatalism and it’s not necessarily in Islam, though it has been pushed as being so. Read more here from an old scholar:

Unbiased people know that everything around them constitutes a proof of faith. They are aware that a seagull diving into the sea to catch its prey, a tiny ant walking on the ground, an apple tree that produces fruit every year, or clouds that remain suspended in the air despite weighing several tons-in short, everything they see-are proofs of God's existence.

The Qur'an refers to two other important features that lead to these signs being deepened and understood: thinking deeply and possessing knowledge.

  • In the Qur'an, God constantly calls on people to think about the proofs of creation in the skies, on Earth, and in all that lies between-in other words, about the signs leading to faith:

In the creation of the heavens and Earth, and the alternation of the night and day, and the ships that sail the seas to people's benefit, and the water that God sends down from the sky-by which He brings Earth to life when it was dead and scatters about in it creatures of every kind-and the varying direction of the winds, and the clouds subservient between heaven and Earth, there are Signs for people who use their intellect. (Qur'an, 2:164)

Several verses state that God expects us to think deeply about what He has created and to learn about the limits He has imposed upon us. All living and non-living things have been created in a way that is designed to encourage us to ponder His superior power of creation, art, and knowledge. As the verses above indicate, everything has been created for a purpose. Ignoring and failing to give these matters their due importance means turning one's back upon His verses, something that all believers must avoid. Indeed, the Qur'an emphasizes that those who turn their backs on God's verses and the proofs of creation are unbelievers.

The importance of constantly thinking about these signs to an individual's growth and certainty of belief is emphasized in many verses.
