Fear Culture

Re: Fear Culture

When I was a kid, I tried watching Dracula movie but couldnt watch it (as was a scary cat). I remember being scared of hanging my arms from the bed, scared some monster could chop it off.

Re: Fear Culture

reason behind such thoughts? some one told you about jinn/bhoot and their activities?

Re: Fear Culture

maybe scary stories from friends and watching scary movies. I remember one movie which used to come on PTV, I hated it but still used to watch it.

Re: Fear Culture

suspense to know the unknown (with pre conceived ideas back in mind). How many names of supernatural creatures you remember beside jin/bhoot?

Re: Fear Culture

dracula...

Re: Fear Culture

Interestingly dracula is not a desi character :cb:

Re: Fear Culture

desi main tou jin churailain hi hain…

Re: Fear Culture

Like i remember one story, that there was some buzurg who used to teach Quran to kids. In his school there used to be jins as well. Once he asked his student to bring a stick, and he brought a tree. The buzurg asked him not to do similar things in the future as he will scare others. I used to consider this true...

Re: Fear Culture

dev, bhootni, pari, badrooh, pichal peri, dain, bonay......

There used to be rumors about female gorila (probably a bear specie) in rural Sindh. It was called Mumm. It was said that it kidnap men and make them disable (they can't walk to run away). lols

Re: Fear Culture

I used to love bonay and pari's. Wanted to have them (bonay) for myself. The ones you can see in Gullivers travels, and there was another program which used to come on PTV.

Yes badrooh is scary. :(

Re: Fear Culture

Our Dadi used to tell us a story about her relative. A Jin fell in love with the lady (having long hair on well). When Jin possessed the lady, one of our dada/par-dada used to serve him (jin) with raakh pani (might be delicious and refreshing for Jin). Finally, somehow they made Jin leave the lady. While leaving, Jin asked that pardada to come in graveyard in night near specific grave to get reward of his service, but he didn’t go :smack2: nahin to meri bhi aaj Qaim Ali Shah jitni zameenen hotin :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Fear Culture

and stories of deaths amongst jins, and marriages and the relationship with whirlwind. And not to sit underneath trees after maghrib.

Re: Fear Culture
