FDA approved?

Re: FDA approved?

In regards to the bold part. Yes, taking wt loss medications over the counter WITHOUT doctor supervision/advice is unsafe. BUT since her doctor prescribed it he/she will know what signs and symptoms to look out for and will surely make sure she doesn’t experience severe negative effects of the medication. Like the above poster said he must’ve mentioned its FDA approved because its not a random supplement or herbal medication (the kind sold on the internet).

Also, from the sounds of what you described the medication is suppose to do it seems like its the same medication people with high cholesterol take. These medications prevent the body from absorbing the fat in the meal. On top of that exercise will help her lose body fat she already has.

Yes, FDA approved drugs are safe to use BUT there can slim chances of a severe side effect to occur. I would advise your cousin to follow her doctor’s reccomendations and take the medication as prescribed. Make sure if she experiences any side effects she relays them to her doctor.
