Fawad is atleast in the squad.
Why is Khurram Manzoor not even in the squad despite scoring 77 in his last test innings in Australia? Three fifties in 7 tests with a highest of 93 is not bad going at all. can’t really comment on his batting average because he has played so few games. He will probably get his chance against South Africa in UAE later this year

khuram has a very weak batting technique and will be exposed eaily..yes he scored 77 but that does not imply that he has not problems with his technique....he will be in trouble in england where ball swings so much...fawad shd be given a chance....
Malik doesent deserve to be in the team either....but same goes for Alam. That average is largely a result of a couple of decent innings against the Lankans when he got a 100. Since then he was found out especially in NZ with his shaky technique.
The way he stands at the crease and the way his bat comes down at an angle makes him an easy target in any conditions outside the sub continent.
Averages dont tell you everything...same goes for Manzoor. Sure he got 77 but look at his technique as well.....

Fawad Alam is a tenacious player. His lower order batting could come in very very handy. He should be in the squad. He has played some excellent innings in Tests, ODIs and T20s.

To me his test scores of 16, 168, 16, 16, 29, and 5 (against SL/NZ) are not that impressive. However he has only played 3 test matches.

Fawad Alam is not even part of the Pakistan A Tour. Which is quite sad indeed. Which spells an end to his International career. Like Hasan Raza story, though Hasan Raza got more chances in tests, over a period of a few years.

Its less important to note that how many runs a batsman makes in a given situation...but its more important to note that how he loses his wicket in a demanding situation... :D

because using stats for a player who has played all of 3 tests and 17 odis is pretty stupid. his average could been 1 or a 100 and it would have been equally meaningless.
