We started this topic in a diff thread and I thought that it deserved a thread of its own.
I have to say that my favs go back to teh 90s when I used to watc wwf, the era when you had hogan, ultimate warrior, macho man, andre the giant, bret the hitman, axe and smash, undertaker, razor ramon..
oh and ofcourse i cant forget sting..not the first incarnation of sting which looked like a copy of ultimate warrior in some ways, but the second sting, which looked more like the crow
later, just a few years ago, WWE was simply nto cutting it and I was enjoying wcw more, with scott hall, nash..big sexy, sting, goldberg etc then wwe bought wcw and it kinda sucked.
I think WWE is bering way too gimmicky and teh characters are not as developed as they were at one time.
Bret the hitman Hart is ma all time fav wrestler. I like HBK also, the guy doesn't have much beef on his persons but has beaten many ppl physically more stronger than him. I also liked Tito Santana but he just faded.
Well I started following WWF from 1990 . When Hit man hart was ruling the world of wrestling ..
Therefore Snuka was way before my time ….
But some how I become Snuka’s fan … when I watched one of his title shot matches with Bob Backlund… a Steel cage match .. in which Snuka leapt from the top of the cage .
Although he lost as Backlund managed to escape the cage . But for me it is one of the greatest WWF matches I have seen in me entire life …

They are not getting developed as such because there is no competition. Character are created by the audience, and frankly, besides a handful of big names and a few in the middle category, none of them have that audience drawing power like we had in WWF when WCW was in business. The US audience market is saturated now to a point which is also the reason that each year, WWE are going more and more overseas to generate profits.
All of the ones mentioned. Further additions from recent; Ric Flair, Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero and many.

The steel cage match between Bob Buckland vs. Jimmy Snuka is featured in WWE DVD titled "WWE Bloodbath - The Most Incredible Cage Matches".
