i just finished re-watching Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth swoon and Jennifer Ehle for probably the 10th time, and even though their wedding scene is at the very end of the movie, usually by that time I’m beaming from ear to ear and grinning like an idiot at the TV. I can’t help it- they’re such a perfect TV couple and Mr. Darcy and Miss Bennett are such timeless characters. So anyway it got me thinking about what everyone else thinks is the best movie wedding, wedding scene, or favourite movie about a wedding?
As a wedding movie, I loved My Best Friend’s Wedding too. The movie is just so funny and sweet, and really, who hasn’t felt like they’re losing their best friend (guy or girl) when their wedding rolls around and you’re celebrating from the sidelines? I don’t think you need to be in love with your bff to feel a wee little bit sad about it, even if its just because you won’t be able to chill with them as much or as spontaneously (but that’s another topic!).
