On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, a popular matrimonial site did a poll of India’s favourite married couples. As many as 3.6 lakh people participated in the poll and voted Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan as their most favourite couple. The duo got 32 percent of the total votes.
It has been a little less than three years since Ash and Abhi exchanged nuptial vows and their marriage is still rock steady. Aishwarya’s increasing popularity has never been an ego hassle for Abhishek, and Ash too has emerged as an ideal bahu for the Bachchans.

Coming a close second are Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan with 29 percent of the total votes. There have been absolutely no itches (seven year or ten year) in this marriage. The duo has two kids.

Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan emerged the third most favourite couple. They married 37 years ago and though there was believed to be some friction in their marriage in the passing years, the duo has defied all the odds and emerged the steadiest couple.

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao wed a little more than four years ago and the couple underwent a tragic miscarriage of their first child last year. However, their marriage is stronger than ever. No wonder they were voted the fourth most favourite couple.
