Thought I’d start a thread on Android Honeycomb specific apps and get to hear about your favorites and must-haves.
Here’s my list so far after about a month of use of my android tablet:
-
Evernote: been using it for almost three years now and can’t live without it - glad there’s an android tablet specific version for this and not just a scaled up version.
-
Swiftkey: I like the split keyboard layout to be able to type in portrait mode using my thumbs.
-
Sketchbook pro: this was co-designed by a student of mine and it’s a great application primarily meant for serious sketching but I use it for doodles and annotations.
-
Tweetdeck: had to have it since I’ve been using it on my laptop for ages.
-
Dropbox: same as above… most of my data is synced across all my machines as well as on the cloud using dropbox.
-
Rockplayer Lite: I found out that there are some media file formats that aren’t natively supported on the android tablet, and this player is pretty good in playing most of them.
More to come as I use my tablet more over time… feel free to add your favorites as well.
