Favourite 80s songs

For all those guppies who grew up in that era , post some ur favourite singles of late 70s and 80s which still bring back the old memories

here are some of mine

1-Karma Chameloeon
2-Walk like an Egyptian
3-Hymn to her
4-Whose gonna drive you tongiht
5-Manic Monday
6-I wear my sunglasses at night :stuck_out_tongue:
7-Self Control
8-Red Red Wine
9-Take on Me

I am not in 80s nostalgia but Red Red wine, Summer of 69' and 'chookar mere mun ko' reminds me of otherwise the best times of my life. Hollywood, Bollywood and media in general sucked big time in 80s. 70s was a totally different time :)

Yes I remeber 70s as well :)

I wasnt much into famous bands like Pink Floyd or Led Zepplin, its only later in mid 80s I started to appreciate them, prolly becuase of the fact I was only 4 years old when 70s ended at. But I do remember some groups like BoneyM and ABBA which were so veryy popular in Pakistan back then.

Same here 76' it was :) I heard of these two jewels of 70s when I was 8 may be. At that time Bryan Adams and Carlos Santana (he was around even before but still kicking) smashed the rock scene. Police and Queens were around too. Later Guns n Roses marked their own signature. Oh yes, who can forget tacky Metallica and Bon Jovi in the last couple of years of the decade.

November Rain
Welcome to the Jungle
Maria Maria
Runaway

Disco died in the west in 80s and techno took over later. In pop, Modonna and Jacko made it really big.

'The boys of summer'

Its the Final Countdown

The Power of Love - Huey Lewis and the News

Faith - George Michael

wanted dead or alive - Bon Jovi

Dosti - Nazia & Zoheb

Anything and everything by Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, George Michael and all other British 80s pop groups ... and Madonna of course.

I used to like pet shop boys a lot back then. Had all their albums on cassetes :D
