I guess her friend is non other.... but MYwish :Pretty:

Re: Favorite passage(s)

Imran, looks like you and I agree on something here. Great contribution :)

Btw...to be honest, the notion is too pure to sense its true existance in our time. I believe it does not exists anymore except the love that forms between parents/offsprings and siblings. Rest when it comes to laila/majno lurv, its too lame to believe that such stuff still ticks around. Me for one thinks not! :-) Watcha think?

Re: Favorite passage(s)

LOL @ Imran.

I don't think you could handle being my hubby, not even a second one.:p

Re: Favorite passage(s)

Do you mean that you think that there’s no “love” between spouses? or romance between spouses.

I’m comfused.

Re: Favorite passage(s)

^ oh no there was great love between me and my first hubby, untill we divorced that is.

Re: Favorite passage(s)

SolarOcean, yes. Cuz its always conditional comparing it to majority cases. So there may be rare cases where the spouses claim to experience true love, but I differ to think so. Its just momentarily. Never lasting for sure.

Re: Favorite passage(s)

no DB i am not a kid.. i think may be thats why i appreciated..but i think u shd also not feel old and be a part of this crowd...:)..its fun

Re: Favorite passage(s)

^lol…Okay here’s a typical cafe question … huh. How old are you?!
To have fun, one needs to be young at heart…'sides, who said I’m old? :snooty:

Re: Favorite passage(s)

Re: Favorite passage(s)

Re: Favorite passage(s)

^Ur reply inspired the opening of my new thread ;-) thx.

Re: Favorite passage(s)

I don't know laila majnu thing was really a true story with no exaggeration implanted. However, true unconditional love does exist but love at first sight is BS. It could be infatuation, crush or superficial work of hormones.

True Love is the most beautiful thing that can happen to us but to me mostly it is experienced by happly married couples.

Happly married couple is the one with greater understanding where age difference, wealth and ethinic background/complexion doesn't count.

Re: Favorite passage(s)

Okay well what do you think of this.

My father in law married my mother in law eh i don't know thirty? fourty? years ago. At the time she was fine. They had two kids. They were in love.

When she reached thirty she was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
She's been crazy ever since

Right now she absolutely hates him because she thinks he spies on her and works for the government. At times she will even throw stuff at him. She thinks that he's cheated on her and has stolen her identity. Yes, she's completely crazy.

And he's completely crazy about her. And he spends everyday talking with her even though she ignores him, yells at him, or throws stuff at him. That's love. Pure, true, love. . . nothing less.

True love exists. It's not there right away but once you spend enough time with someone and get to know them to that degree, no matter what you love them. I've seen it.

Plus I could never not be in love with my husband. It would be like forgetting to breathe. . . he's everything. And, if God forbid he does a complete 180 and turns into a complete jerk, I WOULD BE ROYALLY SCREWED because I am that invested in the relationship and that vulnerable.

Re: Favorite passage(s)

Heres one line I loved from my all time fav. movie Jerry Mcguire

“When you get on the field, it’s all about what you didn’t get, who’s to blame, who underthrew the pass, who’s got the contracts you don’t, who’s not giving you love. That is not what inspires people. That is not what inspires people! Shut up, play the game… play it from the heart. And I will show you Quan and that’s the truth can you handle it?”

n Tom Cruise says it so right:blush:
