Hiya, i’d love to start watching pakistani dramas but have no clue how/where to start…i’ve been watching indian ztv which is fine but the drama/jewelery gets a bit much and i’d like a good story..any recs?

Well a serial I'd suggest u get on DVD is Moorat which is something different and u will luv it. It was on ARY & was repeated coz of viewers demand. Definitely no jewellery to worry abut just hardcore acting!

Incidently....MOORATH by Humayun Saeed Productions, is based on an almost true story of an eunuch namely "BAALA" (Iqbal)....which was superbly characterized by Abid Ali...this was my first ever serial where, on special request of Humayun and the Director---Kamran Qureshi, I played the role of Abid's father....and had to manage a very heavy make up of a 70 year old person with Tahira Wasti as my wife!
Speaking of ARY or GEO...both the channels are doing good on drama serials BUT of late...its HUM TV which is making waves on some most sought after productions and the buck isn't stopping anywhere....
YOU should be able to grab it through JUMP TV network which manages the beaming of HUM's plays overseas while HUM itself should also be on board at overseas links soon...

ary ka ek drama BURNS ROAD KI NELOFER bhut hi acha drama hai mera yei miss ho gya tha aur es ki DVD bhi kahain per nahin mili poory city main nahin hai millinium mall, park tower even ary cash and carry main bhi nahin mili.sirf rainbow centre main hai yei DVD aur yei drama main 5 bar dekh chuki hoon phir bhi dil nahin bhara. drama tu yei lag hi nahin raha esa lag raha hai k kisi kay ghar ki story hai.

ashfaq ahmed bano qudsia is cheez ko litertaure ka hissa samajhtey they. ye mehz tafrih nahi thi.no wonder ppl like rahat kazmi don't want to work for tv anymore. isi liye unhon ne apne interview mein apko kaha tha ke I don't want to work for tv anymore. kyunke ab 'aur tarah ke log' aa gaye hain. un mein aur aaj kal ke humayun saeed type commercial logon mein yeh farq hai ke for rahat kamzi art is pasion a mission of life. it's not just a means to earn bread and butter.

I think Rubber Band airs on ARY - I just download the episodes. But I love that show. It's a laugh riot. :)

I luv the way how some of the characters

Well the dramas on geo are way toooo indianized & I do not watch ar dramas except Sherdil. but I tell u its crap so do not watch it.
Try to watch some dramas on TV one. They have a good story, if u do not get hum tv. By far I find Hum TV better than the rest.
